"My water heater, was about 15 years old, finally started leaking from the base. Now, I have a Home Warranty (AHS), and they were very expedient assigning me to a company to come and see if they could repair it. When the company came out, they gave me estimates, three to be exact. Each estimate was sufficiently more expensive, but it is a water heater replacement, so I understand. For the replacement, they were going to replace the previous model with a comparable. Again, I understand, but chances are, I was overpaying for a outdated and less efficient model. So, after they provided me with their estimate, I Googled best contractors to replace a water heater. I was looking for the reviews, and with the reviews, I only ever look at the 1-3 stars. Well, I found George Plumbing Co. formerly known as Yell For George Plumbing (funny story, if you hire them, please ask why George called it, “Yell for George Plumbing”), and they had 4.9 out of 5 stars (557 reviews) on Google, 4.4 out of 5 stars (58 reviews) on Yelp (They really should have closer to 5 stars) Many of those 1 stars, were very petty. If you rely on Angie’s List, they have a 4.9 out of 5 stars, with 303 reviews, there. If you see or look at Trustpilot, you will see the review is a 2.1, but please make sure you are looking at the right company, as they are George Plumbing out of the United Kingdom. So, please make sure that you are reading the right reviews for the right company. Anyway, just know that I looked at every consumer review site that I could find, even the BBB, which, I normally don’t trust, but still looked. Don’t waste your time, I absolutely disagree. They used high quality equipment, the technicians/contractors were absolutely amazing. Nathan and Austin, were very professional, explaining what they found, how they would remedy it, and what I can do to extend or prolong the life of my new water heater, based on what most likely caused the one being replaced to go out. Both Nathan and Austin, were active listeners, ensuring to address each of my concerns, before the work, during and upon the completion of the work. As with many houses, 10 plus years old, there was a lot of new codes that increased the cost of the work, to bring it up to code. Not only did they correctly explain it to me, but I had already research and talked to the city and county to see what codes my previous heater needed updating. They were right on the money. Another important concern was the warranty. I was happy that they both explained the details of it, made themselves available to contact after hours for any questions I might have forgot to ask. Believe me, I texted, and Nathan replied, in short order. Both Nathan and Austin are very experienced, but also patient, and have a very high level of attention to detail. When they arrived to diagnose the leaking one, my garage was an absolute mess. They even took the time to clean up, my mess, and treat the area that was damaged by the leak. They were very expeditious as well, both taking their time, but not wasting my time on unnecessary explanations. They were both a pleasure to have work on and in my home and I will definitely be using them again if I need too. Of course, I hope I never need to again, just saying… They also took the time to clean out and empty my water softener, which was quite full of sludge and sediment, that contributed to the previous water heater’s decline. I highly recommend George Plumbing Co, so if you need them, please call (210) 495-9991. Any other George is simply not worth your time. Oh, one more thing, the gentleman who runs the office, either Mica, possibly Micah, was very professional and took care of me as a military veteran. Thanks again. "Enrique and Joseluis did a beautiful job. We needed our faucet mixer valve replaced, but there was not access panel. They measured and cut a neat hole in the wall to get to the plumbing work. Once the new valve was installed, they installed an access panel. They also installed an access panel for a secondary bath. Excellent work! Will use them again for other jobs."

"We spent 14K on two new AC units for our house in 2021. We had to get the technicians out almost every year and multiples a year because something is always wrong. Some technicians were not experienced enough to diagnose the problem and wasted hours at our house. They also made careless mistakes (not connecting the draining pipe back in the attack) in Aug 2025. We had to run very loud fans for 5 days just to dry the water leak from the attic to our ceiling. The same technician was sent out in Nov 2025 and made the same mistake again. Now our ceiling is leaking again. The customer service did not even acknowledge or apologize for what we are going through. I am now worried that repeated leak may have caused permanent damage to our house. I do not recommend this company."

"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

"I recommend B. Martinez Construction and Tree Service in the highest terms possible. Bernardo was punctual and after initial negotiations, Bernardo and his team proceeded to remove the tree. They also removed several branches from a neighboring tree. They were professional and competent workers. They worked steadily and did a good and thorough clean up afterwards. I especially appreciated that Bernardo volunteered to come back the next morning to repair my brick tree ring. I was so impressed with the quality of service I received, I have requested that Bernardo provide me with an additional bid for some brick work. I am always happy when I can find honest, reliable, and capable workers like Bernardo and his helpers!"

"Think twice before hiring this company. This review is based on how we were treated by the owner Donnie Ferguson. We hired Diamond Decks to install a patio cover in our backyard. The cover is beautiful. The material matches the house and the craftmanship of the fireplace, roof and woodwork are exactly what we wanted. Here’s where it all went wrong. The last job was to stain the concrete both existing and the new walkway we had them install. The crew did not power wash the 10-year-old concrete before staining. We contacted the project manager right away and asked why they were not power washing and he said the crew didn’t think it needed power washed. Ten years of dirt and they didn’t think it needed power washed? Prior to staining, the crew put samples of the color on the concrete and asked for approval of the color. They didn’t wait for the stain to dry but had us sign off on the color while it was wet. The certificate we signed says “Do not sign this certificate until all services have been satisfactorily performed and material supplied or goods received and found satisfactory.” Despite this warning they had us sign the certificate prior to the stain and seal being applied. Let me also point out that no one asked us what we wanted the stain to look like or guided us in any way to get the look we wanted. The stain looked nothing like we wanted so they came back and applied another color and seal and made it worse. We reached out to Donnie and let him know we were not happy with the stain. His resolution was to charge us another $10,000 to do an overlay on the two patios and then apply another stain. Donnie believed it was the old concrete that was the problem and thought we needed an overlay. We received quotes from two other companies to fix the stain. Neither company thought we needed an overlay. Instead they would remove the seal and stain and reapply the color we wanted. We again reached out to Donnie and respectfully asked for a reduction in our final payment of $7500 to fix the concrete stain. This was his reply: Absolutely not. We are experts and what we do and the color selection you picked does not need multiple coats. I do not care who you are getting your false information from. And you cannot remove foot print and terrible texture work that is in the concrete work we did not pour. The imperfections would be difficult for anyone to see because they are enhanced once the color and sealer are applied. This has one of the best sealer you can use and this is specifically why the form says DO NOT SIGN THIS FORM Unless you approve the color. It’s not an easy product to strip off hence the reason it last much longer and that’s why we use it. The balance owed is now past due $41628. I will need payment in full by the end of day or I will need to notify the attorneys that the contract breach is made. You’ve signed all the paperwork we asked of you and now you wanna insult us by telling us you want us to refund money cause you don’t like what you selected. This is the owner of the company, threatening, insulting and hostile. We of course were not in breach of contract and he knew it. They had just completed the work seven days ago. Again, think twice about hiring this company. They showed a total lack of concern about our dissatisfaction and blaming us for the results of the concrete stain. I will say that Casey, the project manager, was always professional and showed empathy for our concerns."
