"What a great moving company! From booking the job, to the last piece of furniture moved, it was a very smooth process. I moved from a 3rd floor apartment to a 2 story townhome without one piece of furniture broken. I can’t say enough good things about this company & their movers"

"The actual work was ok although the movers didn't follow instructions well.  The problem was they were so late that we had to pay for another day on the rental truck.  I called them several times in the days before the move, to stress how important it was for us to be finished in time to get the truck back and was assured that there was no problem.  They showed up 2.5 hours late and we had to pay for an extra day on the truck.  Afterwards, I asked them to reimburse me for the extra day for the truck and they wouldn't.

"Everything went well! The office staff and movers did an excellent job! I compared 3 companies and Delicate Moving was about $125-$175 less! I would highly recommend them and use their services again."

"I am so thankful for One World Van Lines!!! Daniel and Alvert arrived on time, moved swiftly, wrapped my furniture, assembled and reassembled my belongings, all with a wonderful attitude. They answered all of my questions and moved in excellence. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. Their price was way better than other companies and they were very attentive and communicative even before moving day. I highly recommend them."

"JD was very responsive along with Ryan. They were able to re-do the keys top to my action along with tuned and regulated. Also oil treatment for the cabinet and attach a lyre. I bought a piano that was built in the 1910s and needed work on since it hasn't been serviced in quite a while. JD came out for an inspection and then we went from there. Prestige Piano truly gave my piano life again for many more years to come. I will only use them from now on to move/service/restore any piano. Great job guys!"

"The two men were very careful with our furniture and moved everything without any damage. They were extremely polite and helpful and made the move very easy.  They were there on time, worked very hard and made sure that every piece of furniture was protected. In our new house they were very careful on the wood floors and positioned the furniture whre we told them. Both men were very strong and had good experience. I liked them so much, I went out and bought them some lunch!

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Gym equipment can be heavy, so it’s best to transport it using a furniture dolly. When dealing with treadmills, weight machines, or other bulky items, hiring professional movers or roping in some friends and renting a moving van makes sense.

Yes, tipping each mover separately ensures that everyone on the team gets their fair share.

When loading a moving truck, the general rule is to load the heaviest and largest items first to create a stable base at the front of the truck, which helps balance the weight. You can start with large furniture like sofas, beds, mattresses, and tables to form a solid foundation, or begin by placing your heaviest boxes against the truck's walls to create a base layer. After the base is set, continue loading other large items like appliances and square furniture. Lighter and smaller objects, including most of your boxes, should be loaded last. They can be packed into gaps, around, and on top of the heavier items to maximize space. Following this order makes unloading easier and helps prevent damage to your belongings.

Yes, in almost all cases, it is worth the investment to hire professional piano movers. Pianos are not only heavy and bulky but are also often expensive and delicate instruments. Attempting to move one yourself poses a significant risk of damage to the piano, your home, and can lead to serious personal injury, especially when navigating stairs. The average cost of hiring professional movers (around $400) is typically much less than the potential cost of repairs, replacement, or medical bills that could result from an unsuccessful DIY move.

To treat office moving costs as capital expenses, which means recording them as assets, they must meet certain rules: they need to be essential for the business to keep running, directly related to the move, reasonable, and documented properly with invoices and contracts. These costs can include packing, transportation, and setting up the new office. Once these expenses are capitalized, they're treated like assets on the books and gradually accounted for over time through depreciation or amortization.
