"Everything went great. The guys were friendly and fun to talk with. Very quick at moving everything. We used them when we moved our things into storage, as well. And we’ll use them again for our moving needs in the future!"

"Arranged to do the move on Sunday in order to meet my schedule. Didn't charge a premium for outside of normal business hours.  Due to heavy rain all day, the job was delayed until about 5:30 pm. William went out of his way to get the move completed as quickly as possible and within budget. He and his co-worker were extremely careful, well organized and diligent. Once started the move was completed within the agreed upon time and went without a hitch. I would use them again and I am actively sharing the positive move experience with all who I know are facing a similar move. I have made over 15 moves in the military including six overseas moves, and this business is the best by far.

"I am so thankful for One World Van Lines!!! Daniel and Alvert arrived on time, moved swiftly, wrapped my furniture, assembled and reassembled my belongings, all with a wonderful attitude. They answered all of my questions and moved in excellence. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. Their price was way better than other companies and they were very attentive and communicative even before moving day. I highly recommend them."

"JD was very responsive along with Ryan. They were able to re-do the keys top to my action along with tuned and regulated. Also oil treatment for the cabinet and attach a lyre. I bought a piano that was built in the 1910s and needed work on since it hasn't been serviced in quite a while. JD came out for an inspection and then we went from there. Prestige Piano truly gave my piano life again for many more years to come. I will only use them from now on to move/service/restore any piano. Great job guys!"

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.

A DIY move is cheaper than paying movers. However, hiring professional movers can save you time and stress.

This depends on your specific needs and budget. If you’re looking for the most cost-effective way to ship furniture, a self-moving service that provides pods may be your best option. If cost isn’t an issue and you’re more concerned with the security of your items, you may want to hire a white-glove furniture delivery company with ironclad insurance policies to help.

You can move a pool table without taking it apart only if you’re moving it a short distance, like from one room to another, and with the help of several people or a professional moving company. But if you’re moving the pool table from one home to another, experts strongly advise you not to move it without taking it apart. If you leave it in one piece, you could risk not only your own personal safety, but also risk damage to the pool table itself. The bumpers could need to be realigned and the slate may have to be re-leveled if you try to move a pool table without taking it apart. In this case, the risk usually doesn’t outweigh the reward.

When loading a moving truck, the general rule is to load the heaviest and largest items first to create a stable base at the front of the truck, which helps balance the weight. You can start with large furniture like sofas, beds, mattresses, and tables to form a solid foundation, or begin by placing your heaviest boxes against the truck's walls to create a base layer. After the base is set, continue loading other large items like appliances and square furniture. Lighter and smaller objects, including most of your boxes, should be loaded last. They can be packed into gaps, around, and on top of the heavier items to maximize space. Following this order makes unloading easier and helps prevent damage to your belongings.
