"Back to Perfection is a perfect name for this company. We didn't realize that Corian could be refinished. We were referred to Back to Perfection and treated to a professional experience process that was well done from start to finish. Our countered has Corian sinks as part of the countertop and they were pitted and wanted them repaired as well as refinishing the entire countertop. We were delighted with the result. The refinished countertops look like new and "Back to Perfection". Recommend Back to Reservation without reservation."

"They did the demo and then installed the new countertops perfectly.  Super prompt!  They are very careful to keep any messiness to a minimum and cleaned up completely.  They performed the job on time and very quickly after the service was contracted.  Extremely polite staff, both in the office and the installation staff.  Special shout out to Jorge and Marsela.

"I recommend Israel for your installation of countertops. He came out immediately asked what I wanted and gave me a quote. My countertop was installed that next day. Omar Gonalez also installed my cabinets. I needed a plumber and Israel had one out that same day."

"Jose is awesome! I renovated the entire house and he was able to handle the entire project. New flooring (hardwoods and ceramic tile) throughout the house, granite countertops and tiled backsplash plus new sink and faucet in kitchen, new shower enclosure in master bath. Unbelievably gorgeous! Jose was invaluable in the design process, as well. Highly recommend Joe's Floor Shop!"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Sealed concrete countertops stand up well to everyday kitchen mishaps, including spills and burns. However, to prevent burn marks from forming, it’s best to use a hot pad or trivet under pans rather than placing them directly on the countertop. Learn the pros and cons of concrete countertops to decide if this material is right for your kitchen.

You attach solid surface counters with construction adhesive. Once your slab is ready, you fit it to the wall, apply the adhesive, and secure it in place with clamps until the glue dries. This usually takes several days.

Afterward, you install the backsplash, faucets, and more. At this point, you can caulk the counter, allow it to dry for 24 hours, and then you're done with the installation.

The frequency for sealing marble countertops depends on several factors, including the quality and color of the stone, the type of sealant used, and the amount of traffic the surface receives. Marble has a porous surface that requires sealing to maintain its shine and resist scratches. As a general rule, you should seal countertops at least once a year. However, for heavily used surfaces, like those in a busy kitchen or family bathroom, you may need to reseal them every three to six months. Conversely, countertops in a rarely used guest bathroom might only need resealing every few years.

Granite countertops can last for 100 years or more with proper maintenance, even in high-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Granite can crack, stain, or fade over time, like any countertop material, but it’s a highly durable option that should offer a lifetime of use. Some ways to increase the longevity of granite countertops include regularly cleaning the surface, especially after spills, avoiding sharp objects directly on the countertop, and resealing the material every few years.

Kitchen counters are 36 inches high because that’s considered the ideal height for the average American adult, which is 5’9” for men and 5’4” for women. A three-foot counter height lets most people comfortably chop, cook, and clean without straining their backs, necks, and shoulders.
