"I would absolutely recommend this business. Our work with Aldo is likely not even complete yet—so far he has only provided a consultation for us about a possible bird mite issue, and already he's given me peace of mind. The response to our inquiry was immediate; continued correspondence was quick and professional; and during his visit, Aldo was kind, knowledgeable, and focused entirely on making sure our issue gets resolved fully and quickly. We live in an apartment, so our property pest control company has to address the situation first, but if we don't feel confident in their handling of the issue, we will definitely be calling Aldo to come help us because we're confident he'll do the job well and thoroughly."

"They have been doing my pest control for more than 10 years. Hector is great to work with and his follow up is always appreciated. I had a little problem with silverfish and he made it a point to send someone out with some packets to stop that and did not charge me for the follow up service. Highly recommend them!"

"Wildlife X Team provided great communication throughout the eradication process and was very effective in getting rid of the nest that was built under my solar panels, without causing any damage to the panels or surrounding areas. They ensured there were no more areas of intrusive rodents and provided a treatment process to prevent further nesting. After completing the process the cleaned up and left the area in immaculate condition."

"Jacob responded quickly to my request for a quote. He called me and we talked about my termite situation. Based on our conversation he gave me a quote and said he could come out to look at the problem and confirm it if I wanted him to. He came out and looked at the job and confirmed his quote and we made an appointment for him to complete the work. Jacob is very knowledgable and pleasant to deal with and did a great job. I highly recommend South Texas Pest Control."

"We have used Go Away Pest Control for pest control, rodent and small mammal trapping along with treating wasps, bed bugs and Mexican bees. They are very knowledgeable and are very responsive. Their prices are very good as well. They provide services to our 20 acre campus as well as 20 homes in the community. They are always professional and courteous. We used to use a large commercial company but their prices were too high and their service was not very good. This is what lead us to hiring Go Away Pest Control. This company is so good, I even recommended them to my mother who now uses them to treat her own home. David R. Director of Facilities Maintenance"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

In most cases, a mother bird will return to a disturbed nest after the disturbance has passed. However, it can be hard for a mother bird to find a relocated nest. So, while it’s false that a mother bird will abandon her nest if it’s been disturbed, it’s not a good idea to relocate a nest with live babies or eggs in it.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.

Hawk attacks on pets are rare, and they won’t target animals that outweigh them. Hawks typically weigh between one and three pounds. That means you don’t need to worry if you have a Labrador Retriever or French Bulldog. However, small cats and toy breed dogs, like Chihuahuas, are at risk. Pet attacks are more likely in winter when food is scarce or in the early summer when inexperienced young hawks are honing their hunting skills.

When it comes to keeping birds from doing their business on your porch rails, you have several DIY options and home remedies you can try:

  • Tie a fishing line from one end of the deck post to the other. Birds won’t be able to see the line across the railing, so they can’t land on it.

  • Hang wind chimes close by, which may scare birds away.

  • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.

Metal coil-shaped retriever tools (around $50) help remove empty nests and debris from chimneys. Unless you are sure the nest is vacant, we recommend calling in a pro to handle bird’s nest removal from chimneys, vents, roofs, and other hard-to-reach places.
