"They came began the work messed up 4 rolls of wallpaper and crumbled up the rolls and left them in my bathroom and left without saying anything and txt saying he was sorry he couldn't do it and for me to send over the bill for the wallpaper and when I sent the bill he went radio silence. I wouldn't recommend him or Angi as they were no help either."

The durability can translate to lower long-term costs for upkeep and replacement, and the versatility means you have more options for customizing rooms in your home. Some downsides include that it’s difficult to remove, it’s not ideal for rooms or areas exposed to high moisture content or sun exposure, and it’s tricky to install. A professional wallpaper hanger can help mitigate these issues, though, by installing it properly and in areas suitable for wallpaper.

Inspect periodically for cracks or settling and address issues promptly to maintain stability.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space. 

Most experts would not recommend hanging wallpaper over existing wallpaper more than twice. Even if the walls are in good condition and primed well, that third layer of wallpaper could cause problems with adhesion. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.
