flowing reviews listed on Angie?s list. I was in the process of getting a house ready to rent and needed the wood floors refinished. The work started on Tuesday morning, I meet an employee at my house, went over the job and gave them a key.
I show up at lunch Tuesday to do some work and an employee is going through my boxes and tools in the garage, I ask what is he doing and he tells me he is ?looking for something to weigh down the sander?? Wednesday afternoon I show up at my house, the leftovers from a chicken lunch are left on my back door steps. I had just purchased a new box of trash bags and I find the box open and some of their equipment is in the trash bags. Sunday I needed to apply more tile and I go to use my trowels I had left out to dry and they are covered with hardened wood filler! Their employees used my tools and because they didn?t clean them off I had to buy new ones! What gives their employees the right to go through their customer's stuff, uses the customer's tools and leave their garbage in the yard? I am so glad this was a house I was getting ready to rent and that I did not invite anyone from Carpet Outlets of Texas, Inc. into my home with all of my personal property in it. My experience with Carpet Outlets of Texas, Inc. employees is they have no respect for the customer?s personal space or property. I would advise against inviting anyone from Carpet Outlets of Texas, Inc. into your home.

On 10-28-11 we ordered the Flexitec Wondertile Flooring #882 to be installed in our home. The invoice was paid in full prior to installation. Although the estimate included moving furniture and removing the old flooring, we chose to have a contractor remove the old flooring and install a new subfloor. Therefore, the furniture had already been moved prior to installation. The installation occurred during the week of November 7-11, 2011. There were numerous issues with the installation including mis-matched seams, failure of the flooring to adhere adequately, torn flooring that was NOT repaired properly. As a result, the kitchen flooring had to be replaced due to a badly cut corner. Ultimately the first installation was unacceptable and Floors Unlimited made the decision to replace the entire flooring. During the week of November 28th, a second installation was made. Floors Unlimited chose to lay the second floor over the first floor, indicating that this would be an acceptable option. We accepted their decision, with some reservations. We insisted that the previous installers NOT be allowed back on our property due to faulty installation and failure to adequately address our concerns. At one point the foreman stated: "When the blinds are closed you won't notice that the seam is not clean."
There were several issues with the second installation: failure of the floor seam to adequately seal, leaving a visible line which was supposed to disappear over time; bubbles continuing to appear throughout the area that will not stay down; their attempts to inject glue into the bubbles resulted in hard lumps in the floor and glue spots on the top of the flooring. Despite continued attempts to resolve these issues, they continue to exist. We gave the flooring adequate time to seal and adhere without result. Therefore we sought remediation of this situation by sending Floors Unlimited a certified letter seeking remediation in one of the following manners: 1. Both floor coverings shall be removed and replaced with new flooring of our choosing that is commensurate with the original flooring. This will be done at no cost to us. This will include removal and replacement of new baseboards, moving and replacement of furniture and appliances and installation of new metal transition strips. 2. In lieu of replacing the flooring, we will accept full compensation of our original investment of $4,097.75 and will find another company to install new flooring.

We assumed from Angie's list that the cost would be approx $99 since we had no furniture to move. "It went so well and they did exactly what the contract said that they would do. Our contract was specific that left nothing to misunderstand about what I wanted done or they to do. They were working with 24 year old oak cabinets and were exact in matching corners & fronts of those old cabinets. It all looks so good. I worked with the owners daughter. The owner was very nice also. The carpenters were a pleasure to work with. They did their work and then the owner would call or text me to ask it there was anything that needed their attention. The payment process was excellent in that it was all done on Intuit and could come directly out of my checking account."

FAQs for floor sanding projects in Sonora, TX
The cost to refinish hardwood floors is $1,900 on average, ranging from $600 to $4,500, depending on the area size, the floor’s condition, the type of wood, the type of coating, and the refinishing method. Traditional refinishing includes sanding the floors, which can be very dusty and costs about $3 to $8 per square foot. Dustless refinishing uses a vacuum to collect dust during the sanding process, reducing the amount of dust produced, and costs about $5 to $8 per square foot.
You should aim to hire a professional floor cleaner once or twice per year to remove any set-in stains, resolve scratches, and make your floors look shiny and new again. If you have a bustling household with many children, pets, or severe allergies, having your floors cleaned four times per year is worth the investment to maintain the integrity of your flooring. Don’t forget to prioritize cleaning your floors yourself in between professional cleanings, too.
The cost to install hardwood flooring is about $4,800 on average, ranging from about $1,000 to $12,000. Nationally, the average cost to install hardwood floors ranges from $6 to $12 per square foot for labor and materials. High-end woods and large spaces may cost $13 to $25 per square foot.
Additional cost factors include:
Square footage of the area
Type of wood
Preparation requirements
Type of finish
Location
Floor style and pattern
Plank thickness
Wood grade, color, and grain
It’s time to refinish your hardwood floors when they show signs of age that diminish their overall appearance and function. A few surefire signals that you should consider refinishing your hardwood floors include:
Gouges, scrapes, deep scratches, and dents over a significant area
Discoloration from stains or sun exposure
Water damage causing rotting, warping, or bowing
Weak, spongy, or soft spots in the floor indicating damaged subflooring
Dull and worn appearance across most of the floor
The cost for professional floor cleaning is $250 on average. This cost can range from $100 to $1,500, depending on the type of flooring and its square footage.
For example, natural stone flooring requires specialized techniques and care, so you'll spend closer to the higher end of the cost range. The cost of cleaning tile and grout is more cost-effective, where you'll pay an average of $0.50 to $3.50per square foot.
