"Conrad Barrett is the guy you need to go to whenever you have a roof issue. Unassuming, mild-mannered, respectful. straight-speaking, with years of experience. Fast and correct in his math, he always responded to texts and calls. 7 days a week. Keeps you posted about the progress. The crew that came to do the work was efficient. They cleaned up after themselves. Oh, BTW, M&M did not take a penny until the work was completed."
"I reached out to Roland’s Roofing after a major hail storm damaged the standing seam metal roof on a new owner/builder house project. From quotation to completion, the entire roof replacement process went very smoothly. The project took less than a week with craftsmanship and attention to detail that are second to none. Bryan, Robert, everyone on the roofing team and the office staff were professional, honest and extremely polite. I can’t thank them enough for a job well done. I am looking forward to working with Roland’s Roofing again on my next project."
"I have concrete tiles on my roof, and a few were broken by the hail storm last summer. I had tried since then to get a roofer to fix the broken tiles, and some rotted wood. Each one I contacted wanted 2 things: 1. hat did my insurance appraiser say? and 2. They asked if I had any of the tile on my roof as they didn't know what kind it was. or if they could find it. Finally, I came across Carlos on Homeadvisor. He responded immediately and came to look at my roof, the same day in fact. As e looked at the roof, he told me what type of tile I had and said "he has that". He took ample pictures on the roof, and shoed me the damaged areas. He gave me a quote, it was fair, right in line with other quotes I had had. I asked when he could start, he said next Tuesday. We signed a contract. Next Tuesday (2 days ago), he and a partner showed up promptly at 0830, Turns out, I also had a section of my roof being attacked by Carpenter Ants. I called my pest control service, and they came out and treated. Carlos and I adjusted the contract on the spot, (very fair again), and on day 2 he had expanded his crew, and proceeded to rebuild a section of my roof. Bottom Line: I found a reliable service that actually knew my roof, and got repairs done all within 1 week, at a fair price. C&R Roofing is not only on my short list for roof repair, they are my short list. If you have a roof issue, do yourself a favor, and at least give him a shot to give you a quote and talk to you about your roof."
"Both projects went well. The window installation crew was very friendly and helpful! The roofing crew seemed to have linguistic and cultural barriers, but did their job in a timely manner."
"Ruben Villalobos, principle of Lobo Roofing, did an outstanding, cost-effective job in replacing our damaged attic ventilation unit and the surrounding roof wood structure and tiles that were causing a major leak on our home plus individually caulking all the numerous nails that were attaching all of the roof top attic ventilation, pipes and other roof top units to prevent any future roof leaks. Lobo?s customer service and work quality are great!"
"Rick and his guys are outstanding. They replaced our roof. Good price. The work was amazingly quick, good quality and very professional from beginning to end."
"Mike is a no-nonsense down to earth get it done guy. He provided a detailed listing of products and cost estimate. Work began immediately. His crew was courteous and professional. Mike was onsite (meaning up on the roof) often. The test came this past week with all the heavy rains. All was snug and dry. I am just delighted with the quality of the roof and the workmanship. I highly recommend Rattler Roofing."

Yes, moss can be dangerous for your roof if left in place to grow without treatment. The moss soaks up and holds moisture. Having a constantly damp roof could lead to problems with rot for the parts of the roof that consist of wood. Additionally, a patch of thick moss may draw insects and birds, which could damage the roof. Thick moss could block the roof’s drainage system. Water then may back up after a rainstorm and cause further damage that could eventually lead to roof repair expenses or the cost of roof replacement.
Metal roofs have a bad reputation for being loud, even if that's not necessarily true—it's usually only thin tin or sheet metal roofs that are loud during storms. Stone coating adds a layer to the metal that severely cuts down on any noise from rain. In many ways, stone-coated steel roofs are quieter than your average, run-of-the-mill asphalt shingle roof.
To cap off a chimney flue, start by measuring its width, length, and diameter, if it’s circular. Purchase a cap that fits the flue, and decide whether you want a temporary or permanent model. Then, slide or insert the cap onto the flue and secure it with a screwdriver. Be sure to avoid over-tightening the screws to prevent chimney damage.
Underlayment is required by building code, so any roof installed without it is technically against code. The underlayment acts as the second layer of defense against water, so installing a roof without underlayment means a much higher risk of roof leaks. You’ll have the best chance of avoiding roof leaks if you install drip edge flashing covered by underlayment, and then install your roofing material over that.
Underlayment exists under your tile roof. It helps protect your home by acting as a secondary water barrier. Often, when roof tiles fall off, underlayment that's in good condition can temporarily keep water from getting into the home. However, immediate replacement of missing tiles is crucial to avoid additional roof damage.
