I was very happy with the roofer I hired, Mocean Roofing and Construction. The bid was reasonable, beating some others by several thousand dollars. Andre Pretorius was great to work with. He explained the process clearly and thoroughly, and he was able to answer all my questions and I got no unpleasant surprises through the course of the install. His crew are an experienced group of pros. They waited until the weather looked good, then managed to do a 38 square roof in two days. The crew did an excellent job and left the property neat and clean. When the job was completed Mr. Pretorius gave me everything I needed to update my windstorm insurance and register the warranty with Owens Corning. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism Mr. Pretorious and his crew brought to the task. I highly recommend Mocean Roofing.

Andres did a great job with very good communication throughout the entire process. He was patient with the roof color selection process. The site was cleaned up leaving us with a great new roof.

Excellent.. I live out of town and the communication was key. Before and after pictures were taken and send as well as samples. All concerns and improvements were discussed at every turn. Andre and his team did an awesome job! They did a full tear off on my roof and had the new roof installed in less than a day and a half. When they left after the first day they cleaned everything thoroughly and I couldn't find one nail sitting on the ground. Being a contractor myself, I know what quality looks like and they met and/or exceeded all building codes and wind storm standards. I can't recommend them enough! You won't find a better company!

Andrê Pretorius dedicated much more time than expected; clarifying every step of the process; overseeing a large and very skilled crew who removed an old roofing and replaced with a notable upgrade - Corning triple layer protection, ridge line venting replacing all earlier vent hoods, great selection of shingles - a 30 year roof with 130 mph wind resistance warranty installed in a single day on both house and garage with virtually no disruption. The crew did a great clean-up job and Andrê came back the next morning to complete a detailed final inspection and personally cleared and bagged the last vestiges of the previous day’s streamlined install. A first class job from beginning to end.

Excellent customer service, professional, honest, fair prices, and fast turnaround. Overall it was a great experience working with Andre and Mocean Roofing and Construction. Andre promptly contacted me after I requested a quote on AngiesList to replace a shingle that had blown off during a recent storm. I provided him with a photo of the damaged area and he quickly recognized the color/manufacturer and made sure I had a good match. His price was fair - $100 for materials and labor - he would have to buy an entire pack and agreed to leave behind the extra shingles. He worked around the tenant’s schedule and went out the very next day (a Sunday). While on the roof he noticed other nearby areas needing repair - 3 field shingles. Replacing them required the removal and replacement of 9 ridge shingles. Instead of doing only what he was hired to do, he took it upon himself to correct all of the problem areas because, as he later told me, the job isn’t done right if he looks past the other damaged areas. I had worked it out with the tenant to pay him when the job was done (I live and work 500 miles away). After the job was complete, Andre sent me pics of the job. I was surprised to learn that he had done all of the extra work and had collected payment without requesting extra compensation for the added labor. I looked up his company on Facebook and their company’s statement is 100% true - they do professional work in a timely manner and focus on building relationships with each of their customers. As a long distance homeowner I have found it difficult in the past to find contractors that I trust to do good work at a fair price. I would absolutely hire them again and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for help in their areas of specialty (roofing and fencing, according to their Facebook page).
