We are a property maintenance and lawn care company. We do tree trimming or removal, stump grinding, pressure washing, and other property maintenance tasks. We also mow, edge, irrigate and otherwise care for your lawn. And we provide standard home maintenance services like gutter cleaning, security light installation, etc. We pay special attention to the details of your project, and we bring together the right team and skill set to complete every project to the highest level of quality and client satisfaction. We are a new business, but we have 10 years of experience in a wide variety of property maintenance and lawn care projects as employees of other companies. We bring all of that experience to bear as a team for your project. We are owner operated.

"We had a very disappointing experience with Grounds Guys. If you are looking for landscaping work keep looking as these folks are dishonest, unprofessional and do poor quality work. For example, on one morning, a clearly intoxicated worker showed up in our backyard to work on the grass - we had to insist that he leave. We were charged several thousand dollars for sod replacement in the back yard. Within less than 3 weeks, almost all the sod was showing signs of disease or was just plain brown. We watered regularly, promptly notified Grounds Guys of the issue, but to date - after 3+ months, all they have done is taken our $7K and moved on. Jeff and Tony made up some fabricated story of needing a "soil test" which apparently was never done. Does it really take 6 weeks to get soil test results? Now they refuse to respond to messages. So for $7K plus we have a poorly built stone bench and a lawn of dead grass. The stepping stones are nice - but $7K is a bit pricey for a few stepping stones placed in a bunch of brown sod. We will be taking legal action soon and reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. Jared Johnson"

A quick search online may recommend that you give your dog apple cider vinegar to help decrease the pH level of your dog’s urine. This method won’t help your yard, though. Most turf grasses thrive on slightly acidic soil, so apple cider vinegar won’t make much of a difference. 

The main cause of grass death by dog urine isn’t the pH level anyway—it’s usually the excessive amount of nitrogen that kills your grass.

In the fall, you should aerate the soil, overseed the bare spots, kill weeds, mow the lawn low, and rake your leaves. By boosting your lawn’s health in the fall, your grass will be stronger throughout the winter and come back healthier in the spring. You should also trim your perennials so that they withstand the winter and are ready for new growth in the spring. 

You should put pre-emergent herbicide and fertilizer on your lawn in the spring. Pre-emergent herbicide keeps weeds from taking root. Fertilizer helps your grass to grow lush and dense and blocks future weeds from growing. You can also add amendments, such as sulfur and lime, to enhance your soil quality. 

Some of the particular herbicides that work best to get rid of nut grass without killing the grass include Halosulfuron-methyl, mesotrione, sulfentrazone, and metsulfuron. A herbicide like glyphosate would kill nutgrass, but it will kill nearby plants, too.

Your St. Augustine grass might look bad due to cold winter months, drought, pest invasion, or lawn disease. The first step is properly identifying the problem. Once you’ve figured out what’s making your grass look bad, you’ll need to employ the correct treatments. These treatments may include:
