Rep quoted a $29 service fee and then promised to have someone out that same afternoon for an estimate and to fix the problems if I agreed to the estimate.
Sean arrived around 4:00 p.m. and after I explained the problems, he immediately went to work. Within a little over an hour, I had hot water, harder pressure in one of the guest bathrooms, and - most importantly - two working heaters and heat throughout the house! Before he left, he checked the water pressure throughout the house to make sure everything was in working order, inspected the condition of our water heater, and then provided a suggestion to speed up the flow of hot water on the far side of the house, which was a much less expensive option than my original plan to install a tankless water heater.
I spent approximately $205.00 ($115 for service fee and labor, $90 for their "Round Table Membership" plan...and my peace of mind).
Overall, I am very happy with Excalibur Plumbing and appreciate the high degree of professionalism displayed by Sean and the representative who initially answered my call.

The man (Gino Cedillo) did not plan his job very well. When it came time for the final payment, I told him that I will gladly give the final draw once work is fully complete per the contract. He wanted the last draw upfront and I told him this is not the way it works. He was trying to scam more money out of me. Turns out that out of all the money I had already given him, he hadnt even paid his workers. The workers came by my house later and asked if I know where the contractor (Gino Cedillo) was beacuse he still owed them $2000. He had not been paying them - and the whole time he had been requesting draws from me to pay them. The guy (Gino Cedillo) is just a liar. I caught him in so many lies. He told me he had to fire the workers because they were working on another job at my site. I later found out that this was not the case. They werent even being paid by the contractor the whole time, so they just up and left (who can blame them!) Please beware if you ever have a job done by this guy. The bathrrom shower was not even installed correctly. (No hot water, spout is loose) The bathroom floor was not finished. I had to do that on my own. The deck looks good, but there are still loose boards and it is not ven built to city code. He never got a permit from the city either to do all the work. He is just not the kind of person you want to work with, BE WARE OF THIS GUY!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/san-antonio/universal-contractors-of-texas-reviews-2348722.htm"},"position":8}]}

We have a home in Cinnamon Shores, Port Aransas. Next2Natural Turf (James) put artificial turf (along with a putting green) in our backyard. They were very easy to work with. They said it would take 3 days and it did. The yard looks great. No water bills for the backyard now. We are...
Very professional. 2-man crew showed up with all the materials they needed, and did really precise work with all the new gas lines, cutting and threading to fit the perimeter of the house. Connected to gas line and water heater to code, passed inspection no problem.

Residential and business water treatment systems. Water softeners, UV lights. We will analyze your water for contaminants such as chlorine, low pH, iron, bacteria, and devise a system to suit your needs. Treat your water from the source, as it enters your home, so whether you are drinking it, cooking with it or bathing in it, your water is pure.
"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

FAQs for water softener service projects in San Diego, TX
The license requirements for water softener installation depend on your location. Some municipalities require that the installer hold a plumbing license, some require a permit and an inspection, but no license for the installer, and some require a permit and a license for the installer. Regardless of the local laws in your area, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed plumber or installer. These pros will install your system properly and have the experience to size the system appropriately. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your installer’s license status.
Water softeners are worth the money if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water is safe to drink, but it poses serious threats to your plumbing system. The minerals in hard water will gradually build up on the inside walls of your pipes, reducing water flow to your fixtures. The minerals can also gradually corrode your plumbing system, reduce its lifespan, and increase the risk of leaks. Hard water also makes soap and detergent less effective. Water softener systems can solve all these issues, making them a great investment.
It’s possible to install a water softener yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Water softeners require working with copper pipes and electrical wiring, neither are suitable tasks for most DIYers. Plus, working with water and electricity together is dangerous and could pose a risk to your safety. Water softeners also need to be calibrated so that they don’t make your water too soft, as soft water poses just as many risks as hard water. Overall, it’s well worth hiring a local water softener installer to place your water softener system.
The cost to install a water softener system is $1,500 on average, ranging between $200 and $6,000. The labor for water softener work typically costs between $150 and $1,000, so you can add that to your equipment costs to get an accurate total. Your price will depend on many factors, including the following:
System capacity
Home size
Water hardness levels
Type of water softener
Presence of electricity in the installation area
Local permit costs
Your water softener size is based on your total household water consumption. In most cases, you can assume the average household member will use around 75 gallons per day. Multiply that by the number of people in your home, then multiply by 10 (for the typical grains per gallon). You’ll get a number in grains that should help roughly size your water softener. However, it’s best to hire a professional to install your system and use more exact numbers, like your exact average water consumption per day and starting water hardness.
