I accepted the bid and scheduled a time for the treatment. Tech showed up on time but said he didn't have enough of the chemical and was waiting on someone to bring him more. No one showed up with more chemical but he went ahead and treated. I questioned this but he said he had enough. No drilling thru concrete was done. Tech said it wasn't necessary that he could treat between patio slab and house but yet the price was the same. Not sure I understand this.....I had not moved the patio slab since the guy that did the inspection and estimate was there. I had soaker hoses all around the house to water the foundation. When he dug by the foundation for the treatment he left the dirt piled up and the soaker hoses pulled out. I had to level out the dirt and put the hoses back after he left. One of my outdoor faucets had broke because it was cold and my neighbor had fixed it but smelled gas while he was fixing it. That's when I called Neff's, they contacted the gas company and the gas company came out and disconnected my gas main and that's when Neff's fixed the two different gas leaks and also fixed my water heater that blew up. I had also called them around 7am a different time because of an indoor water leak and he said that his plumbers were not in the office yet but he came right over and fixed it for me. I sent him two certified letters and he sent me a certified letter back about eight weeks ago saying that he would get to it on his time. So now it has been 18 months and it is a safety issue. The bars are still there and we can get in. But we are concerned that anybody getting hurt and it can't be cleaned with automatic cleaners and stuff like that. I have used CERTi PRO for a water softener, a filtration system and replacement of two toilets over the last few months. Brandon, the owner, has been the person doing all 3 of my jobs and he will be the person I continue to use for any additional needs!!

"Just great. The installer completed the kitchen work first so as not to get outside dirt inside. I love having pure drinking water inset his old house. The exterior work went smoothly as well. He paid attention to my desire to have the equipment hidden and not in view through a window."

"Best Tex Plumbing was sent to our home by our home warranty company. They told us we needed new pipes under our home because our pipes were old and would have problems due to their age. On August 5th Best Tex Plumbing “replaced” our pipes under our home for $2000.00. They did not pull a permit and did not give us a receipt from their company. I suppose they do this to limit their liability with no paper trail. Here we are three months later. We had a stoppage at the washer. The home warranty company sent another company out who said all the plumbing was installed incorrectly and did not have the appropriate parts for pipes under a home. I called another plumbing company out for a second opinion. They agreed that the plumbing installation was wrong. Now we need new plumbing again. Please do your self a favor and do not do business with Best Tex plumbing. They talk a good game and reassure you they work with integrity. This could not be further from the truth! If I could give them a ZERO, I would."

FAQs for water softener service projects in Aransas Pass, TX
The license requirements for water softener installation depend on your location. Some municipalities require that the installer hold a plumbing license, some require a permit and an inspection, but no license for the installer, and some require a permit and a license for the installer. Regardless of the local laws in your area, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed plumber or installer. These pros will install your system properly and have the experience to size the system appropriately. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your installer’s license status.
Water softeners are worth the money if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water is safe to drink, but it poses serious threats to your plumbing system. The minerals in hard water will gradually build up on the inside walls of your pipes, reducing water flow to your fixtures. The minerals can also gradually corrode your plumbing system, reduce its lifespan, and increase the risk of leaks. Hard water also makes soap and detergent less effective. Water softener systems can solve all these issues, making them a great investment.
It’s possible to install a water softener yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Water softeners require working with copper pipes and electrical wiring, neither are suitable tasks for most DIYers. Plus, working with water and electricity together is dangerous and could pose a risk to your safety. Water softeners also need to be calibrated so that they don’t make your water too soft, as soft water poses just as many risks as hard water. Overall, it’s well worth hiring a local water softener installer to place your water softener system.
The cost to install a water softener system is $1,500 on average, ranging between $200 and $6,000. The labor for water softener work typically costs between $150 and $1,000, so you can add that to your equipment costs to get an accurate total. Your price will depend on many factors, including the following:
System capacity
Home size
Water hardness levels
Type of water softener
Presence of electricity in the installation area
Local permit costs
Your water softener size is based on your total household water consumption. In most cases, you can assume the average household member will use around 75 gallons per day. Multiply that by the number of people in your home, then multiply by 10 (for the typical grains per gallon). You’ll get a number in grains that should help roughly size your water softener. However, it’s best to hire a professional to install your system and use more exact numbers, like your exact average water consumption per day and starting water hardness.
