"We got our roof replaced with T-Rock roofing and we more than impressed with the results. We used Brady, one of the project managers, and he took care of everything and made it super easy on us. We also used them for our AC units not just our roof and love all the work they did. Highly recommend for any roofing or construction needs!"

"This company came out on Monday, Labor Day, and fixed my ridge vent on my roof. The previous owners had a new roof put on several years ago with a ridge vent but the vent part was not cut out properly and we had no ventilation in our attic! When Mike came out the first time to look at the roof and give me a bid he was very informative of what was needed (which included more insulation and referred me to someone who did a fabulous job with insulation and was very reasonable) and what he quoted me for the job is what he did the job for and was extremely reasonable. They were here on time and finished quickly and cleaned up very well after they were finished. I got quite an education from Mike regarding roofs and insulation. Would highly recommend this company! Thank you so very much Mike! Outstanding job!"

"They did a wonderful job. I had a leaky roof. They replaced singles as needed. Also replaced the plywood and re-roofed my patio roof. They even painted the new plywood on the underside. All their work and materials come with a lifetime warranty. I would definitely recommend them. I plan to have them to replace the rest of my roof when it is time."

I’m a third-generation contractor who grew up around roofing and construction. That background taught me to take pride in doing the job right and treating people fairly. Our work in the Frisco and Dallas–Fort Worth area is built on the same values I was raised with—honesty, quality workmanship, and standing behind what we do.

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Sticky shoes help, but you shouldn't be walking on the steel roof— let the pros do that. it's dangerous enough to walk on asphalt shingled roofs which have quite a bit of texture. Stone coating adds a lot of grip, but it still doesn't lock your foot down, so if you absolutely have to be on the roof, make sure you’re secured in another way, like with the harness and rope.

Most roof leaks occur where shingles meet or where there are sealants or seams in the materials. This is common around skylights and at any point there is a break in the roof such as corners and edges. Roofing materials are incredibly strong and resistant when overlapping, but any change in that can cause gaps where water can enter.

Roof work is dangerous and exacting, and a misstep could lead to even more costly repairs, so we do not recommend DIYing. If you are dead set on giving it a go, practice safety measures. Wear a harness, only work during mild weather, and have a partner to help. Potentially DIY-friendly jobs include patching up small leaks, sealing areas around the chimney, and replacing a few shingles.

Hail damage is bad for a roof because it can leave the roof vulnerable to the elements. Hail may leave more than dents or scratches behind. It can actually cause the shingles to crack, which means water can leak into your home from the roof. Hail can also wear down the granules on the shingles. Without these granules, the shingles are weaker and more vulnerable to the elements, particularly wind. If the hailstorm is accompanied by high winds, it may take your shingles with it.

There should be small gaps between your roof and the walls of your home, and other buildings. These small gaps let building materials shift, expand, and contract with weather and other outside forces, and they prevent moisture from wicking down walls from roofing and gutter systems. Without these strategic gaps, your home’s exterior and its finishes can sustain water damage, decay, peel, delaminate, and crack. However, there is a fine line between a smart gap and a problematic gap—all  gaps should be small, intentional, and covered or filled in with foam insulation to prevent pests from using them as access points.
