He found out what I was looking for and offered many suggestions. He sent pics through the email and I saw what I was looking for. We set up a time for him to come out and take a look at my glass. He came out exactly the time he said he would and a week later he called me to tell me the glass was ready to install. The installation went without any hitches. I'm very satisfied with his installation and would use him again in the future.

While Bob does do good work (I guess, I don't have anything to compare it to, but our tub looks the way I wanted and expected!) and is responsive and shows up on time (all good traits), his work did result in a ton of dust all over our house. Never having had a tub refinished before I wasn't aware this would happen otherwise I would've covered up the new granite countertops, cabinets, glass shower enclosure, mirrors, etc. before he started work. After I mentioned the mess, he said he'd covered everything with plastic but that fine dust would still be lingering in the air. Yeah, I was in and out and never saw anything covered up with plastic, and that "fine dust" even managed to make it inside the bathroom drawers. When he finished the job he didn't provide any information on how to care for the refinished surface or how long I needed to wait to use the tub. He also didn't sweep up the mess he'd made on the floor in the bathroom. I would advise anyone using this company (or any company for this service) to learn from my mistake and understand that this acrylic dust will get EVERYWHERE. Cover everything up. I've had to spend most of the weekend getting thick layers of acrylic dust out of places I didn't think dust could get to. And this is just a personal preference and other people may feel differently, but while I appreciate contractors who are friendly, there's a fine line between friendliness and unprofessionalism. After his first day of work (it's a 2-day process), as Bob was leaving he stood in my foyer for half an hour telling me stories about his kids, his ex-wife, his ex-in laws. Frankly, it was too personal and I felt very uncomfortable. Not notifying me of the mess upfront (he knows what the process does, I do not) and sharing way too many personal anecdotes really put a damper on an otherwise positive service experience. Again, the actual work he did was fine - but it's all of those other components of service that make or break the customer experience.

They had a rep come out that afternoon to give me an estimate for the window as well as for a piece of glass for a dining table. The estimator was friendly and courteous, though I did feel the price was a little on the high side for both items. However, they did honor the Angie's List $25 credit. The estimator also took the time to tape up the window on the inside and outside because I was concerned about the glass falling if my children slammed the door, as they often do.
It took approximately a week for the new window glass and table top glass to be delivered and installed. There was a slight problem with the tabletop glass not being cut correctly, but the window was installed quickly and professionally. The gentlemen who performed the installation also took the time to carefully measure the tabletop again as well as sketch a diagram using contractor's paper. The new glass was cut and delivered in less than a week. Each time, the company only collected one half of the balance due until the final corrected tabletop glass was delivered and installed to my satisfaction.
I was very pleased with Glass Doctor's services and will definitely use them again.

In July 2012 my husband and I visited Barco's Mirror and Glass showroom and splurged on a beautifully framed mirror for our master bathroom, which we were planning to conservatively remodel. The displayed mirror was the exact size needed to replace the existing frameless mirror. Barco Mirror and Glass agreed to store the framed mirror until it was ready to install. We were also very interested in selecting a new shower door to be installed at the same time.
My husband lost his job in August 2012 and we immediately started to downsize our expenses, which included the master bath remodeling. That same day he reluctantly drove to Barco Mirror and Glass to ask if they would credit back the amount on our MasterCard. (Please note that the FRAMED mirror was a display piece and not a CUSTOM order.)
Without hesitation, the Sales Associate, took the MasterCard, credited our account and offered her sincere condolences on the job loss. No questions…no approval was needed. It was a tremendous relief for us to have the additional $400 credited on our MasterCard account.
The past 4 years have been very difficult for us in many ways, but Barco’s response brought us some monetary relief as well as belief in their excellent customer service.
We hope in the future to remodel the master bathroom and will again visit Barco Mirror and Glass.
Titan Auto Glass was easy to work with. Called and scheduled to bring in vehicle same day to have windshield installed. Price was competitive for Premium windshield and same day service was great! They even accepted the $25 Angie's List coupon off their price making it even a sweeter deal...

These are two different custom installs that were ordered together. I had priced these items with different contractors and this company was in the middle. They returned my calls, (not all of them did) listened, and had professional advice. It has been about six months and thanks to...

The cost to repair a window is $400 on average, with prices ranging from $75 to $1,500, depending on the window size, the broken part, and the window type. Broken glass and window frames are typically the most expensive window repairs, while minor fixes like repairing the track, seal, and sash are more affordable. Other cost factors include:
Number of panes
Window material
Accessibility
Labor costs
Emergency window repair
Stained glass window repairs cost about $300 on average. Typical prices range from $65 to $800, depending on the size, location, repairs needed, and whether you need to fully or partially replace the window. Full stained glass window replacements can cost $700 to $5,000 per panel. The repair type also impacts repair costs:
Crack: $100–$300
Faded glass: $100–$300
Regrouting: $200–$500
Cement replacement: $200–$500
New window frame: $200–$500
Cleaning: $300–$600
Resoldering joints: $500–$1,500
Replacing reinforcing bars: $700–$3,000
Yes, you can repair a damaged or cracked mirror with a repair kit. However, DIY mirror repairs are best suited for minor cracks and chips in the glass, whereas you may need to hire a glass repair contractor to fix a large, valuable mirror with extensive damage. To repair minor glass issues, use a resin-based repair kit and be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for best results. You can also remove scratches from glass with metal polish, nail polish, baking soda, or glass polisher.
For most common repairs, a professional window repair service can fix a window in one to three hours. However, replacing window frames or repairing a large, multi-pane window will likely take longer to complete. For comparison, a window installation or repair professional should be able to replace up to 15 windows per day.
The type of window repairs required significantly impacts the project cost. It’s always best to hire a local window repair company for this kind of work. The most common window parts that need repair include:
Broken seal or fogginess between panes: $70–$245
Cracked pane: $40–$100
Broken glass: $200–$2,000
Sash, seal, or track: $200–$600
Latch or hardware: $75–$200
Broken window frame: $175–$1,000
Replace window screen: $140–$480
