"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

"I don?t think I have ever left a bad review before, but I am so disappointed. They just simply never showed up. We agreed on a weekend, the morning of confirmed, and once they were 5 hours late, I text to check in. No reply. I called the next day, no reply. 4 days later, still haven?t heard what happened. I emptied out my entire kitchen/cabinets/ drawers for them to begin working only to be ghosted and my kitchen is now in complete disarray. I find this to be extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I can?t speak to their actual work however."

"I am very impressed with the quality of the work performed by Rudy and Tony. The pergola is beautiful and very well built. I needed a 25 year old pergola removed and replaced. Rudy quickly responded to my request for a quote and I feel that the quote was very reasonable. They arrived precisely on time and were able to remove the old pergola and finish the new one in one day. They were very neat and respectful of my property. The finished product is beautiful and sturdily built. The finished look is better than the pergola that they replaced. I know that I will be able to enjoy it for years to come. "Listen. I’m a spinster for a reason. I am THE PICKIEST person on the planet. I was that annoying kid in school who knew the difference between an en dash and an em dash and would tell you all about it. I was alphabetizing my family’s canned goods by age 5. To this day, on punch list day, I’m a client’s best friend and a builder’s worst nightmare. I can spot a 1” scratch on the floor - or a character flaw - across a crowded room. Fortunately, the thing that makes me a total nightmare to live with makes me the best organizer and closet and pantry designer. And I wouldn’t pick anyone but Haydn to work with on my Elfa installations. I’ve worked with him on every single install I’ve had the last 7 years. If he couldn’t get to me immediately because he was booked, I’d wait. And by wait, I mean skulk around in his bushes until he’d come out. I may be the organizer responsible for buying 97% of Elfa’s line of shelf baskets. Haydn will go pick up all 200 packages of shelf basket dividers and has never once made fun of me. He’ll cut the shelf baskets to exactly fit my space. He takes every single sticker off of every single piece {leaving stickers on things or Christmas lights up all year round and you’re dead to me, people}. We don’t even have to talk anymore. I can just grunt in his general direction and he knows I want Wall A to be end-to-end. Or not to install those standard covers or I’ll make him take them all off. And then, once the client’s space is EXACTLY the way we envisioned, he magically makes all the box trash and packaging go magically away. Like Mary Poppins. Except he doesn’t sing. Do not ask him to sing. If you want Elfa installed —run, don’t walk— to get on Haydn’s books. If he doesn’t install an Elfa closet so good it makes you cry, I’ll name my firstborn child whatever name you choose. Just kidding. I’m a spinster. And also wouldn’t want to end up with twins named Chip and Guacamole. Poor Guacamole. Chip would always be the cool one. Haydn is THE best. You can absolutely trust him with military secrets, the key to your house, and any Elfa installation needs you might have. PS…did you notice my impressive use of the em dash?"
