Super! Bantex came in WAY under other estimates--almost to the point where I was a bit suspicious at first! But a friend had a great experience with Bantex, and I got a great vibe from David Ellis, who project managed any crews that worked on various parts of the project, so I decided to take a shot on this (again, what I think was a really low bid) option. I'm glad I did--David was a great communicator, and VERY detailed with his invoices. If I'd gone with another company, I'd have had to cut a few projects off my wish list--but with Bantex, I got everything I wanted, and within my original budget. The various crews were clean, caring about their work, and just did great craftsmanship. All renovations can be messy and frustrating, and all hit a few unexpected challenges, but David patiently worked through all issues and was very reassuring throughout. I was a bit nervous about purchasing the raw materials (tile, flooring, underlayment) on my own, but David helped me figure out what I needed and that gave me a lot of control over materials quality and design, which I ended up enjoying a lot. Where I did get lost (which grout?? which backer board??) he and his crews were able to fill in where needed. If I had another project, I'd not call anyone else.

Excellent! We ended up buying another house that will need some updating and I will definitely be going with Terry, David and their crew. These guys were honest, realistic, helpful, easy to communicate with, and did a great job overall. They helped us save money where we could, we never had a question of when portions of the remodel would be done because they stayed in constant communication with us. Terry and David knew we needed to stay within a certain budget and accommodated that and stuck to the itemized quote as close as possible. If I needed to make changes to a higher upgrade, they communicated the cost difference. There were no surprises. The crew was so honest that I had left a plant on the back porch that I meant to get and one of crew took it to take care of it. I told David about it and that I meant to get it but kept forgetting, so he talked to his crew...and they returned it! My beautiful yucca in my favorite pot. I’ve worked with other contractors in the past that would not have been that honest. They remodeled my kitchen, new cabinets, new island, new hard woods, window replacements, deck replacement, and paint. The work is absolutely gorgeous! These guys will do you right. They will treat you with respect, as long as you return the favor. They are talented and bring out the whole crew to go over the project before starting. I loved hearing them go back and forth to find the right way and most cost efficient way to get the job done.

Terry and his team did a great job. There were a lot of special circumstances, but they managed to work through with patience. In the end, we got what we wanted and needed at a very fair price. We will definitely work with Bantex again!

Overall our experience with Bantex was very positive. I would definitely recommend Bantex to my friends. I first became aware of the company by chance. Bantex was remodeling a house that I drive past on my way to work. The house had been under remodel by a different contractor for quite some time and didn't look great. Then one day a Bantex sign popped up in the yard and work went fast. That house looked great at the end of that project. I snapped a picture of the Bantex sign and gave them a call for a flooring replacement. They came in just under another contractor I had bid and based on what I had seen, I wanted to give them a try. I'm glad I did. I had a very tight deadline as at the time I was 9 months pregnant but wanted new floors before the baby. They finished the floors just in time and the floors looked great! It was 1,000 sqft of porcelain tile. I wish we had done it sooner! Now in 2019 we decided to move and the new home was a bit of a fixer upper. I honestly thought it was going to be my Money Pit. Thankfully, Terry and David kept that from happening. I had several contractors and subcontractors bid on the remodel. Terry wasn't the lowest, but based on my previous experience with him, I was glad to hire him for the job. Here is an overview of the major items we had done: wall knocked out to create opening into family room, door closed off from laundry room, new closet created, flooring replaced with carpet and tile, new kitchen backsplash, new external exhaust added in kitchen (also had to add new cabinet cover for the vent), new toilets installed, new door made for bathroom, new venting created and installed in master bath, new HVAC system with duct replacement, remove and replace insulation with spray foam, whole house interior paint (including cabinetry and trim), natural gas added/plumbed (didn't have gas before), electrical work, drywall repair, and several other smaller items. All work was performed very timely. Again, we were on a tight deadline to move into the home. There were a few times I wasn't 100% satisfied and I was willing to accept small things that I just didn't like, but as soon as I told Terry I wasn't 100% happy - he was on it. It's clear that Terry and David both genuinely care about customer satisfaction. The best thing is that even though I added many items along the way (door widening, new thresholds, moving electrical, adding gas, and more!), Terry and David kept me on budget and on schedule. They are very upfront and honest about the cost and the time. They care about the quality of work and would gladly make changes to ensure a satisfied customer. As I said, I would definitely recommend Bantex to any of my friends and family for just about any home projects.

Terry was great to work with. He provided great guidance throughout the process. Stayed on a timeline and provided updates and solutions to any changes that needed to be made in the work plan. Plus, the house turned out beautiful. We will definitely use him in the future.

Terry is a nice enough guy but had nothing to do with the actual project other than phone calls and text messages. The two guys he had come seemed rush and it shows in the work. On the trim of the door frame they didn’t bother tapping on the braid nails that didn’t go all the way into the wood and I mean there was a lot. I found damage to the door created by the nails. They put different colored screws in the hinges and the texturing doesn’t even look complete. I wish I would have taken a closer look before letting them go and that’s my bad. I then found they had taping mud on the side of my house and trash bins and didn’t bother cleaning up. Called Terry and he even told me he has had problems with them before cleaning. He assured me he would have them over in the afternoon to clean. Guess what? They didn’t show and never a call from Terry to make sure it was taking care of. Terry didn’t even bother coming out to take a look at the work. He did ask me if he needed to. Well, it’s your name on the company I figure you might to make sure your crew is doing things right. Needless to say I would not hire again and have learned a little bit by hiring a contractor for the first time. I wish I could add photos and then you would understand.

The project went very well. Terry & his crew were very reliable & honest. The pricing was reasonable. The quality of the work was very good. Terry was always available to answer any questions & made sure that we were happy with everything before final payment was made. We are meeting with Terry soon to look at another one of our projects.

We just finished a Trex deck and a kitchen remodel with Bantex Construction. Bantex people are honest, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. Both projects were completed and look outstanding. We love Bantex! Terry and David are extremely professional and detail oriented. All of their subs are quality pros and well trusted. Everyone at Bantex is kind, respectful and just plain friendly! Not to mention their prices are consistently lower than other contractors we’ve bid out. They will go out of their way to get the lowest price with the best quality. We have used Bantex for multiple jobs at two houses: a master bath and closet addition, remodeling a kitchen hallway to include a pantry and a closet, and an entire house remodel and complete gut/new kitchen. We know the guys very well and wouldn’t use anyone else. Bantex is always my first call for projects, small or large.

I received a quick response, we coordinated on the repair, and completed the work within two weeks. Price offered was lower than the estimate from another company. Quality of work is good and just as I expected. My experience was very good!

The work went well and was smoothly coordinated by David, the Superintendent of Projects. He synchronized the various crews in a very efficient manner. David was a hands on Superintendent and kept a close eye on the work all during this major renovation. David gets an A+ from us. Job well done.

Bantex completely gutted and updated our home from front to back and we could not be more pleased with the results. We love our new home and get lots of compliments. Terry's employees and contractors were all very polite and professional and respectful of our home. With a project as big as our was communication is key, and there was never a time when we were not able to get in touch with Terry or David to express and concerns or questions. All concerns were quickly resolved no matter how big or small. We definitely recommend Bantex Construction!

We found Terry (Bantex) and his team on Angie’s list when we first moved to Weatherford, TX. We purchased a property and were looking for a general contractor to help us remodel our home. From the first time we called Terry to discuss the project, he has been fantastic. He is open and honest and goes out of his way to help make the project a success. I have a young family and am often out of town on business and have the upmost confidence and trust in Terry and his team when I’m away. He is always responsive when we have issues or problems and will go out of his way to try to solve it even taking a call out of hours to help us resolve an issue that was actually out of his scope of work. I would recommend Terry and his team without a second thought. He stands by his work and will ensure that the work is done to his customers satisfaction. Terry is a great partner and we are already using him again to remodel our guest house and will also use him for an extension/addition to our home that we have planned.

After interviewing 5 GC's, we decided to go with Bantex because of the price and Terry's straight forward attitude. We did a full kitchen remodel - nothing was left after demo including a load-bearing wall. The final product is amazing and we couldn't be happier with it. Bantex came in under budget (probably 5%) and while they took a little longer to complete the job (maybe 2 weeks longer), it was worth it - subs will be subs. Terry always shot me straight and his super (David) was ALWAYS very responsive. I will warn you, though, Terry is a little old school - you will be getting paper invoices and paper receipts but he is an incredibly honest guy so in then end, it doesnt matter. You can see what his subs charge him and what he adds for profit - all very transparent. We did hire someone to help with plans and we already had a good idea of what finishes we wanted, etc. So we just needed a GC to create the perfect kitchen and Terry & David did it. I would definitely use them again

I hired Bantex after two of my previous contractors stole money from me and left the job incomplete. Bantex did a great job of coming into a halfway finished project and finishing it out in a quality manner. Bantex handled the entire job which included new exterior siding, a new deck, sheetrock, insulation, paint, new appliances, carpet, all new master bathroom, and various other fixes. This industry is fraught with unscrupulous contractors. Most will screw you over by performing sub-par work, cutting corners, or outright stealing money from you. I made the mistake of hiring cheaper contractors and only after hiring Bantex I learned that it makes much more sense to pay up a bit hire a quality contractor. Bantex was like a breath of fresh air after dealing with those other contractors. The best part about Bantex is that you don't pay for the work until it's completed. This is VERY unusual for this industry as 90% of the contractors I have seen out there take 25%-50% up front which leaves you exposed to the risk of the contractor not showing up, doing bad work, etc. I would highly recommend to anyone reading this to use this pay-as-you-go model in order to protect yourself. Unfortunately the laws favor the contractor and if they screw you over, you have almost no recourse. Bantex takes pride in their work and produces high quality work. If they make a mistake, they correct it instead of making excuses. Bantex is very fair in terms of pricing and just charges you based on the work that is done. They sub-contract out all of the work and don't have their own crews. Bantex just takes a fee over the top, which is completely worth it given that they manage everything for you and make sure it's perfect. Bantex is not the cheapest out there but the pricing is not substantially above the competition. You're paying up for quality. I'd like to give a special thank you to David Ellis, Terry's partner, who was extremely attentive and was available to talk on the phone at the drop of a hat. I would routinely call him and ask him for updates and ask him to make minor repairs and he was always responsive and top of everything. The only complaint I would have is that the project took a bit longer than expected, as Bantex was juggling a number of other projects at the time, but I was told about that upfront.

This is an excellent company. We would definitely work with them again. The pricing was very reasonable and they were very transparent from start to finish. They were very accommodating of our needs and schedule, even when we were out-of-state, to make some serious repairs to the house's balcony and water damage in the corner of the master walk-in closet. They replaced rotted boards with Trex decking and flawlessly repaired ceiling panels, siding, gutters, and the corner of the master closet. David coordinated all of the work and met with us several times, overseeing the work from start to finish, stopping by throughout the process to check on the work himself. He answered all of our questions and was very professional, yet personable. He is a straight-shooter and very practical. All of the work was done and done well, without exorbitant costs. It truly was a pleasure working with Bantex!

Terry Banta exceeded our expectations on this project. He has quite a good eye for design, has tons of experience, and his subs are excellent. These are all very nice, qualified people. They're easy to work with, and want you to be pleased with your project. After basically gutting a do-it-yourself 1940's cabin, and starting with a clean slate, they: covered acoustic ceiling tile with bead board, added interior & exterior doors, built a generous storage cabinet, textured over wall paneling, added ceiling, window & baseboard molding and chair rail with wainscoting, repaired rotted wood, and insulated it. There were numerous upgrades to electrical and plumbing, we had it leveled, and termite extermination upon discovery during demo. The real magic was the kitchen, which was just awful and not functional. Terry moved the W/D and water heater to the 2 closets, which afforded a real kitchen with ample workspace and even a convection microwave & dishwasher. It is nice; really, really nice. We chose our granite and wood flooring, and we now have LEVEL floors instead of 4 different levels. It's fantastic! Terry gave us maximum use and space in our tiny 560 sf cottage, it looks new and smells new, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. We had a 3 month remodel at our full-time home 3 years ago, and the remodel Terry just did for us was VERY reasonably priced in comparison. We would absolutely, without hesitation, ask him to do another project for us. I apologize the after photo wouldn't display upright for me. But the before and after photos are dramatic.

All I wanted was the popcorn ceiling scraped, interior painting, and new floors. What I got was so much more and exactly what was needed. My husband and I purchased a new home after we were married and his home while lovely was stuck in the 1980s. We contacted Terry at Bantex Construction to help us update the home to prepare it for sale. Here's how you know you've hired a professional: I left a voice message on the weekend for Bantex construction not expecting a return call until Monday. Terry returned my call same day on Saturday and set up a day and time to walk through the home. PROMPT Terry met with my husband and I to understand our needs. He walked the home and told us additional updates he recommended. EXPERIENCED Terry prepared a bid and met with my husband and I to discuss options. PREPARED His estimate blew us away. The cost was reasonable and included many updates we did not have on our list. We gave him the approval to start and do everything he suggested. PROFESSIONAL. Terry had the house gutted out in one week and kept in touch daily to share status and discuss any items requiring a decision. After Terry completed approximately one-third of the job is when we paid him one-third of the estimate. You know your dealing with a solid company if pay after the work is done. This gave us CONFIDENCE and built TRUST knowing we would not be ripped off or stuck with a job we hated. Terry ensured the finished product met our needs completely. The end result is beautiful and everyone who has seen the home as asked me for Terry's information. I've handed out 20 cards already. Looking back over the remodel some things I love about Bantex Construction is with Terry I was able to tell him what I needed and took care of all the details which really matter most. For example, I asked him to replaced the floor in the bathroom. He updated the plumbing an toilet stating it was 30 plus years old, rusted and it was time. Another example, I asked him to replace rotted trim on the exterior and paint. He did and also painted the outside door, garage, and porch overhand.....I loved it!. The best of all is he came in $5k under budget!!!! I was able to use the money to make more updates! I feel like I won the lotto finding Bantex and can't wait to use them again. Just call Terry and know you'll be in good hands.
