Aaron gave pros & cons of using pavers/crushed granite vs flagstone/mortar; no hard sell for either one. He explained we would need a small retaining wall on one side of patio to deal with sloping yard. We went with flagstone/mortar as it would match existing retaining wall and steps. Aaron provided an itemized proposal and placed us on his schedule. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Once started, they were finished in a week. Clean-up was outstanding. The workmanship is second to none. Patio is perfectly level, drainage is exceptional, and the flagstone is beautifully placed. We are so fortunate to have found Tecton Stoneworks on Angi. "Update to this: Letting this cure for few days to check grading with water, but 5 stars so far. Last update for this driveway repair. They came back when they said they would and tore out the faulty section and put in a drain. The rain no longer puddles into the garage and the drain appears to be functioning as it should. I was surprised that they would come back to tear out the mistake and replace it at no additional cost. Have to deduct one star for a few rough spots where they sprayed the exposed aggregate a little too early and had to pound rocks back into the edges which left a rough surface in those places and one strange line imprint that only shows up when things get wet. I will be extending this driveway soon and will probably get a quote from Mack and Sons if they are available to do the work."
