"We needed a new RO system as well as maintenance done on our current water softener system. Aqua Systems had sent over two technicians.. one headed into the house to install and the other to the garage to tend to the water softener. We were surprised by how quickly they finished. We will definitely contact them again for any future maintenance."

"Have been with infinity water for a few years now. They have taken care of my water systems in two of my houses and the service is as great as the quality products they offer. James is a fantastic technician and very professional in every aspect. Extreme attention to detail and he is very informative as to what is needed and how the system is functioning. I cannot say enough great things about James and the entire infinity water system team. Dan"

"We have used this company in the past and been very satisfied, but this service was not so great. We called early on a Monday and were told they?d be out by 10AM. By 4PM we realized this was not happening. The technician finally showed up and his excuse was that that he?d had three flat tires. That hardly even seems possible. I asked him if I should turn off the breaker to the well. He said it wasn?t necessary. Around 9PM he indicated he didn?t have the fittings he needed and left again. When he hadn?t returned by 10:30, we called the owner and were told he had yet another flat. When he finally did come back, he managed to short out the control box while completing the install. The owner came the next morning and replaced control box at no charge, but this probably wouldn?t have been necessary if he had let me turn the breaker off as I suggested. After nearly 24 hrs, we finally had water. They left the old tank in the yard and it?s still there. Please come finish this job!"

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

If your ‘do isn’t doing what you want it to do despite using good hair care products, hard water might be to blame. Since hard water can’t rinse soap off as well as soft water can, your hair might grow limp because of the shampoo and conditioner residue that’s left behind. If you color your hair, you might see it fade more quickly or even turn a different shade as the dye reacts with the minerals in the water. You might also experience an itchy scalp, thanks to the dryness that comes from bathing in the hard water.

Some shower water softeners are effective, but this isn’t always the case. Most shower filters only filter out chlorine, not hard minerals like calcium. Other shower filters can't handle the demand in homes with very hard water. It's also important to change the filters on your shower filters. Failure to regularly swap out old filters will make the filter ineffective over time.

The chemicals in a water softener can wear down the anode rod in the heater and shorten its life span. However, for most people, the benefits of the softener outweigh this potential drawback.

Have a plumber inspect the anode rod annually for damage, as replacing the anode rod is far less expensive than replacing the entire water heater.

Water softeners have many benefits. The most important one is converting previously hard water—water with too many minerals—to more usable, easier water. When we say easier water, we mean water that’s easier to digest, less harsh on skin and clothes, and builds up less in the water system. Softer water may lead to lower energy costs and will extend the lifespan of all appliances that use water.

Hard water isn’t necessarily bad for you. In some ways, it’s good for you. If you’re deficient in magnesium or calcium, hard water can give you a mineral boost that you wouldn’t get with soft water. However, this is where the benefits of hard water pretty much stop. Hard water can cause many minor inconveniences and lead to costly, premature replacements of your water-using appliances.
