"The work and customer service was good but the sales person told us would be called and informed of the progress of the supplies received. Etc and that did not happen. We had to call to get updates. The installers were very efficient and kind and the shower is very professionally installed. We are very pleased with the end product"

"I called in requested a recaulk on my shower they installed back in 2016. Office was very friendly and quick to get me a service ticket out to the repair man! They had him out two days later!! He did a great job and was very friendly! I’ve had no issues with my shower and i love it! And incredibly Thankyou they offer upkeep service like the recaulking to keep it looking beautiful!!!"

"King plumbing has done several jobs for me. Replaced hot water heater. Fixed and replaced faucet in bathroom to access water pressure and get proper water temperature. The most common places for water leaks in a home are the fixtures we use most often: the kitchen and bathroom sinks, the showerhead, and the toilet. These components all contain moving parts and O-rings that prevent water from flowing through when the fixtures are shut off, and these can wear down over time and lead to minor drips or significant leaks. You can sometimes employ a DIY solution to replace aerators or faucet O-rings that could be causing the leak, but it’s usually best to call in a professional for a permanent fix.

Most gas stoves either have a shutoff valve inside the oven drawer compartment or behind the stove wall. Cooktop shutoff valves are usually inside the base cabinet, and wall ovens usually have a shutoff valve in the cabinet below or next to the unit. Construction regulations require installing a shutoff valve within six feet of the appliance. So, if you can’t find the valve on the appliance, look around the connecting gas pipes within the six-foot radius.

Sometimes when a pipe bursts in a house, it makes a clang or popping noise; however, that doesn’t mean you’ll hear it. Newer pipes tend to be quieter than older pipes. Plus, a pipe can easily burst out of earshot, especially if it’s a floor or two away from you. 

If you do hear an unusual popping noise, consider hiring a plumber to inspect your pipes. Most of the time, you’re more likely to notice a burst pipe either from a visible leak or because water won’t run out of your tap properly.

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

An underground water leak will most likely show signs of water damage in the basement. If you have a concrete foundation, look for frizzle lines and discoloration on the walls. Sometimes, you may be able to feel the moisture with direct touch. Also, if your basement smells musty or moldy, you might have an underground water leak that’s causing mold to form.
