"Professionally lead team performed a deep clean on my large home, shop apartment, and guest house all in one day with a level of expertise and conscientiousness seldom seen anymore! Team of 5 came in company car all together, uniformed, wore masks as I requested, and were extremely friendly but efficient. Everything was put back where it belonged and there were several extra touches that just made me smile later when I discovered them! I am so thankful to have found Brenda's Home Services and happy to have her to count on for the future. We are booking six months out because I need this kind of company to count on every month."

"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."

"I hired Rachel to clean the interior of my home. She always did a thorough job. She cleaned floors, furniture, cabinets, kitchen appliances, windows, bathrooms, and bedrooms. She has a keen eye for detail. She, always, put everything back in its place. My home sparkled after she finished. I highly recommend her for your house cleaning needs."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes. Baking soda and vinegar—when diluted with water—are safe to use to clean sticky laminate floors.

Having dust in your home doesn’t automatically make your house unhealthy, but it can contribute to allergies and other respiratory issues. Dust is a mix of tiny particles that include dirt, dead skin cells, dust mite body parts and droppings, animal dander, and pollen, so breathing in excessive amounts isn’t good for your health. Dust accumulation can also accumulate in fabrics, mattresses, and rugs, as well as harm electronic devices if it builds up inside the system.

Yes, if you’re strapped for supplies, boiling hot water can be a great alternative for getting rid of soap scum. However, as this method calls for a bit of soaking, it’s best used when cleaning your bathroom sink or bath basin (or on small objects you can submerge). All you have to do is plug your sink or bathtub drain and pour in enough boiling water to cover the soap scum. Allow it to soak for five minutes, drain, and follow up with an additional hot water rinse to remove any lingering residue.

The answer to this question varies by the household, as well as by the room. For high-traffic areas in busier households, aim to mop your floors at least once a week or more as needed. Homes and rooms with less foot traffic can likely get away with mopping every two weeks. Keep an eye on your floors throughout the month and adjust this chore on your household cleaning checklist as necessary.

If you don’t have the time or ability to move your fridge, grab a yardstick and slide it underneath to unearth any large items and dust bunnies. Then, attach a microfiber cloth or a tube sock to the yardstick, spray it with a multipurpose cleaner, and sweep it around several times to pick up any lingering messes.
