After about 2 months of dealing with other contractors I came across Mr. Lozano's number and info here in Angie's List. I called and set up an appointment with Mr. Lozano to give me an estimate on tearing down our storage and fence and rebuilding the fence. He showed up on the day and time we had scheduled. The estimate was more than reasonable and he did exactly what he said he would do. We did have a few discussions which were not written down and after reminding him of these things he still stood good for them. Which is usually not the case with contractors. I cannot say enough good about Daniel or his team. They were all extremely courteous, very professional and very helpful. They gained my trust and my thanks for a job well done and done on time even though the weather cost them a few days work. Also, my fence is way prettier than before. I just stood back and let them do what they do best and am absolutely thrilled with their work and work ethic. Thank you again Mr. Lozano, Dan'L Construction, you saved my sanity.

Pros:
None
Cons:
1.) High cost for annual service.
2.) High deductible $60
3.) Every service provided has a long list of "Excepts"
4.) Pest Control (which is extra) is non existant
5.) Upkeeping Air Conditiong unit (which is extra) is on an appointment basis and only at certain times of the year. What it consists of a company coming out and telling you what you need to do to upkeep your system, you pay $60 for this...not actually servicing the unit.
6.) Key Entry (locksmith) - is non existant - they put in so many qualifiers that at the end only someone who is purple, born on 3/3/13 at 3;30 will qualify.
We paid up front for a full year service with Landmark - thinking they were high priced for a reason, they are it's to scam you out of as much money as possible.
1.) Forget about getting anything electrical completed - the exceptions will override everything.
2.) Forget about getting any plumbing fixed - the exceptions will override everything.
3.) They will not fix anything but simply say it can't be fixed and then give you a small fraction of what it would cost to actually replace your appliance.
4.) We called them out at least 10 times out of those perhaps 3 were fixed, 2 were replacements appliances (see #3) and 1 was a replaced water heater. It still cost us $380 + 60.
5.) Each contractor that came out would respond in a way that was favorable to landmark for not having to fix the problem. In other words, the problem was stated as one of the long list of "exemptions"...even if there was no evidence to suggest that was the problem.
6.) They also were horrible about keeping track of service calls and the result
DO NOT pick this horrible service. We had American Home Shield and that was so much better than Landmark.

Clint-Co was hired to provide the landscaping, which appeared to be fine until we had been in our new building for a few months. The landscaping was done with a desert-type, water-friendly xeriscape. Almost immediately weeds began popping up through the gravel and mulch. Clint-Co did not put a ground cloth underneath the gravel/mulch. For about 30 days, they came and sprayed the weeds; however, they sprayed grass coming up next to an ornamental grass they planted. Obviously, the ornamental grass died, too. So that money we spent was completely wasted. We have also been told by other landscaping companies that the level of mulch put down was completely insufficient. Then one of the trees died. The landscaping was completed April 2, 2013. On July 30, only - 3-4 months after completion of the landscaping - I contacted the owner of the company about a tree that died. I had to email him three more times before he finally responded in September 2013. His response - the tree was only covered if it was installed improperly and since he installed it properly, it wasn't his covered. During the additional times I emailed him, I also mentioned that we had a leak in the drip irrigation. Even though the controller was turned completely off, water continued to run on one cycle. His response - again, when he finally replied in September, he stated that we must have cut one of the lines with a hoe shovel while weeding. However, I know for a fact that no instruments had been used in weeding; it had all be done by hand. About a year later - in May 2014 - we had another cycle exhibit the same problem. It continued to run a solid stream of water, even though the system was turned off. Coincidentally, this was the cycle for the dead tree, which makes me wonder if it had been malfunctioning all along and whether the tree died as a result of over watering. Regardless, Clint-Co. is a company that refuses to stand behind its work and has cost a charitable organization a great deal of additional money through shoddy workmanship.

We purchased a newly built home in June. By October, we had been informed by an inspector with Terminix that the soil around our home was "infested with termites" which had made their way to the fence and were already destroying it. The Terminix inspector happened to stumble across the person who now owns American Pest Control, who was doing work in our neighborhood. He is the son of the founder of the company, and is trying to build the company's reputation in the area. He came over to our house and spent a great deal of time spraying our lawn and the area around our foundation. Then he sprayed our fence with chemicals designed to kill the termites... Each of these treatments was so effective that we have not seen a single bug since. Not just outside our home, but inside either! We will certainly be calling them in the future when we need more treatments... However, it has now been around 4-5 months, and we've seen no living things crawling anywhere near our house. The best part is that, since he was trying to build business for the future, he refused to charge us for the work he had done on our house this time around. It certainly worked in our case, as they will be the first call we make if and when we need future pest control.

They sent a little boy of about 18-19 and he said 3 times--- You want me to spray again??? I said yes...... He didn't... He went to the van and got some ant bait and slung a little out in 2-3 places and he did go into the house and spray. I have had no trouble inside the house since the spraying but the outside is almost back to square one. I have wasted my money and both of our times. I have made 3 calls to the company to ask them to either respray or refund the money they charged for the second spraying that was not suppose to be charged yet. They said if they had to come out in between the monthly spray appointment times it's suppose to be at no charge. They do not seem to have time to call me back. I will go to the BBB next because I can take the statement, I am sorry but your ant problem is bigger than we can handle or we will keep coming until we get it under control but to be promised a call and get no call makes me very angry. They always say that they will have the manager call but he doesn't. I expected more from a well known company but I feel totally cheated and ignored......All they would have to do to make me happy is to do the job as promised and at least return my phone calls....UGH "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/odessa/orkin-pest-control-reviews-5786669.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Hufford's Pest Control","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Carrie G."},"reviewBody":"This company was recommended to me by another company that did not do termite treatments. I spoke with John, the owner of the company and explained that I had a house that was for sale that had previous termite damage, we had a previous whole house treatment when we moved in for the damage, but now the buyer wanted a spot treatment just in the area of the previous damage. He was so nice. He went out that day and looked at the previously damaged area and said they could do the spot treatment the next day. I later called to cancel and then called again to ask him to go ahead and do the treatment due to issues with the sale of the house. John was very patient through all of this. He still was able to do the treatment the next day even with all the run around that I gave him. The spot treatments start at $300.00. Mine was small, so that is what I paid. I had been quoted $325.00 by a larger company. I would highly recommend Hufford's Pest Control. FAQs for bird control service projects in Odessa, TX
Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
