"Mr. Morgan showed up and used tools to narrow where the leak was. As a first time home owner, and first time having plumbing issues. He took the time to explain the processes to fix the leak, and answer all my questions. He showed up on time to complete the project."

"All the work was done in a very professional & complete manner. The toilets, kitchen faucet & garbage disposal were purchased/furnished by the customer. All work was explained to the customer in a detailed & easy to understand manner, with all questions addressed well. Unknown pricing/cost of work done by customer - first time for this much plumbing work needed. Highly recommended by customer!"

"Installation was great. The service guys were excellent. The salesperson left out a few important details such as the discounts we were able to eventually get and the communication between the service guys and the salesperson was lacking."

"Youngs called 20 minutes before the scheduled appointment to let me know the technician was on his way. He arrived on time, was courteous and unclogged the kitchen drain line within minutes. This company is contacted with my home warranty service so I cannot comment on their actual price for service, but well worth my $75 fee.

"Alex was great to work with. He was very methodical and really was concerned about doing the work correctly and not just installing tile. He was also very clean and didn’t leave a mess while working. He installed about 550 sq ft of wood look tile on the patio and 20 sq ft of decorative tile in the powder. Would highly recommend for a tile project."

"We had an air unit die, i.e., quit putting out  cold air.  We called Milestone Electric to send someone to inspect it.  Their tech said that the unit was damaged beyond repair and that we needed an entire new system to the tune of about $17000 plus another approx $2500 to service our other unit.  I told the Milestone tech that for that price I would have to get other bids.  The look on his face should have told me all I needed to know.  Three other companies came and gave us bids to replace the "dead" unit all of which were many thousands of dollars cheaper than Milestone's bid for about the same quality units.  For example, one of the bid items on both units about $800 for a kit to convert the filter to a four inch from one inch.  More on that later.
This morning, John Malko showed up at that house.  I must have reached him through an online enquiry.  I didn't remember since I contacted so many companies.  I thought that we had settled on another company to install a new two phase unit for about $8000.  High quality.  So I wasn't too happy to see another tech.  But what the hey.  I explained that we needed one new unit and service on the other.  He said that he would be glad to look at the "dead" unit as a second opinion.  He is a Trane tech and the "dead" unit is a Trane.  After checking it out, he said all it needed was a little freon (R22) and that it probably had a small leak in the coil inside the attic.  He charged the unit and it immediately started blowing cold air.  He explained the heat dynamics to us and said that it would probably hold the freon all summer and then lose some again in the winter.  Very knowledgeable.  He said that we could get by without replacing the coil but that eventually we would have to replace at the cost of about $1500.  We dedided to do that.
He was very helpful and didn't try to upsell us.  When he inspected the Trane units in the attic, he said they were in very good condition and suggested that we put in 4 inch filters.  He pointed out that the units were already configured for 4 inch units.  All he had to do was remove two brackets in both units and the four inch filter fit perfectly.  No additional charge except for the filters that he had on hand.
He didn't charge us for the freon he put in the system because we decided to replace the coil.  By the way, the Milestone guy said that the R22 units in the attic could not be used with R410 condensors outside.  Not true.  John explained that he could replace the coils in the attic using R22 and then convert it to R410 whenever we were ready to replace the condensor outside, which he said may not be for many years.
He made my day!  I woke up I would be spending upwards of $10000 and with John's excellent advice, discovered that we could have gotten by with a $144 service call.  He made it clear that we could get by without the new coil.  The leaks is small and generally occurs during the winter months when the furnace is blowing superhot air over the coils.
This company is going to be my goto air conditioning company and will get all my friend referrals.

"The process was quick and easy, but I was expecting less mess. I was assured everything was getting sucked into a bin in their truck, but black ick blew out of every vent during the process. We had just painted and thank goodness, had not had the new carpets installed yet, but it was a big mess. The guys cleaned up as best as they could and they were both really professional and kind, but it was messier than I expected. I will be doing this every 3 years, as the guys recommended and the house feels and smells so much better. Totally worth it. Just be prepared and cover everything like you are having painters!

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

Garbage disposals can be considered bad for the environment due to their electricity usage, but good for the environment because they reduce the food waste sent to landfills. If everyone used a garbage disposal, it would tax the wastewater treatment facilities in that region, but if we had to choose one of the options, we’d say they are a net positive on the environment when used correctly.

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.
