"We hired Paul and Patriot Construction to do an extensive renovation on our home last year. Paul is unique in a number of ways. He has his own team of sub-contractors. He doesn't have to wait to get projects done because he has his own team he is responsible for. That puts more pressure on him to get work for his team so his clients don't have the stress of being at the mercy of sub-contractors. Paul is a bright, personable, caring, honest, knowledgeable and thoughtful guy. He always answers his phone and is willing to take the time to explain things. He sends detailed emails with a project timeline and budget breakdown so you always know what is going on. When things have come up after the project was finished, he sends his guys over to address them. I think all of these things are quite unique in a contractor. That is why I give Paul and Patriot Construction 5 stars."

"After I made the purchase and selected times for the appointment. The service provider called and told me they did offer the design service in my area. They are in Austin I am in Round Rock. They told me to apply for a refund."

"The initial meeting to measure my kitchen went well. Then they went silent. When I called a few weeks later asking what was the status, they explained they had just moved offices and changed computers. I had fallen through the cracks and my project was not being followed up on.

I re-engaged and said lets move forward. They did provide me with the contact for cabinets and the contractor was very responsive to come out, take measurements, discuss options, and leave me some literature about what cabinets they have available. Then again, silence. I finally called them after a few more weeks.

They did send me the drawings and estimates. They did complete the job. But I felt I was dropped several times.
So, my issues are not they they had a problem or the quality of the work. But once they knew that I had been dropped, they did not put in the little bit of extra effort to prevent it from happening again.

Update - The owner did call me after my review. The fact he did call me and wanted to know what he could do to fix this caused me to raise my overall rating to a C.
