"Contractor first powerwashed our sadly neglected deck, which brightened the wood considerably.  I had to provide the waterproofing sealant, and the kind I got had to be applied on dry wood, so he came back the next week to finish the job.  I feel much better about spending time on my deck now. I would call them again.

"On the recommendation of our realtor, we hired OnCall Home Services to remodel the kitchen in our new house. In our previous house, we were burned by a different contractor, so we were a bit nervous entering into this project. Turns out we had nothing to worry about! Beau and his crew were great to work with from the beginning of the project to the end. Whenever we had a question or concern, Beau was prompt to reply or came by the house to discuss. There were no hidden surprises in the costs because Beau was always transparent and kept us apprised about any issues or needed adjustments that came up. He and his crew were courteous, professional, and showed up on time, every day. The project was completed on schedule and we're extremely happy with the results. We wouldn't hesitate to hire OnCall Home Services again for any future house projects!"

"I had the pleasure of working with Alex and his team at Catalyst Construction for a major renovation project, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! They installed brand-new windows throughout my entire house, which required reframing, drywall work, and painting, and they handled everything with incredible skill and professionalism. Additionally, they upgraded my lighting with recessed fixtures, completely transforming my living space. From start to finish, Alex and his team demonstrated exceptional professionalism. Their communication was top-notch; they kept me informed every step of the way, answering all my questions promptly and clearly. It really put my mind at ease knowing I was in good hands. In terms of timing, they adhered to the agreed-upon schedule, completing the work efficiently without compromising on quality. Every aspect of the job was executed with precision and care, making a noticeable difference in both the aesthetics and energy efficiency of my home. I highly recommend Alex and his team at Catalyst Construction to anyone looking for reliable and skilled contractors. They exceeded my expectations and truly delivered on their promises. Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Carpenters are trained to take on a wide range of home projects. You can hire a carpenter to do framing, roofing, build custom furniture, and make significant upgrades to your home. General carpenters are usually able to handle most jobs. However, you may also choose to hire a carpenter who specializes in a specific type of carpentry.

Framing most homes takes anywhere between five and eight weeks to complete. You’ll need to account for inclement weather conditions, material shipment times, the number of crew members, and the weight of your materials. If the weather is too hot, wet, or cold for the installation, this process could take closer to eight weeks.

Bump-out additions can extend anywhere from 2 to 15 feet from an existing room. The right size will depend on how you plan to use the new space. For a cantilever bump-out, which doesn't require additional foundation support, the limit is typically 24 inches (2 feet). If a footing and foundation are part of the project, a bump-out can be much larger, even encompassing a whole room. It's also important to remember that many residential properties have limits on the total house size relative to the lot size.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

Costs depend on furniture type, size, complexity, and whether additional modifications are needed.
