"Linda Cavazos, from Redbird Appraisal, was great!!! She accepted and completed the appraisal very close to Christmas. The appraisal report exceeded our expectations through Linda?s thorough appraisal steps during and after her onsite visit. We almost placed our home on the market approximately $25k below the appraised value. The appraisal helped us avoid this potential mistake. Additionally, after measuring living space, Linda found we had a little more living space than originally listed. Never put your home on the market without an appraisal?and use Linda if you do. "Jeff was able to negotiate in our behalf to secure the purchase of our home.  He was extremely creative in how the deal was structured to make it go through.  At one point in the process, I was ready to walk away because I wasn't completely confident that this deal would happen. But, his persistance and creativity made it happen.

I have used several agents over the years.  Most of them have been forgettable. Jeff is the agent I will use exclusively going forward with all my real estate deals.

Thanks a million!

Real Estate Agents FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, marble floors do increase home values. In fact, if you install marble flooring in your home, you can expect to double your investment. Homebuyers love marble, like other types of stone flooring, because it’s timeless, beautiful, wears well, and is considered a luxury product. Marble is expensive to install, but if your house and location attract buyers looking for luxurious, upscale vibes, adding marble flooring can only raise your property value and give you a great return on your investment.

Yes, mixing siding types will affect your home value, and in most cases, it will improve curb appeal and add to the value of your home. This is especially true if you get the benefit of the high-end appearance of brick or stone siding but save on siding costs by covering most of the exterior with more affordable vinyl or fiber cement.

Yes, an elevated deck can increase a home's resale value. Homeowners can expect a 65% return on investment from the cost of a second-story deck installation. For example, if you spend $5,000 to install a second-story deck, that deck will add $3,250 to the value of your home.

The average cost for a home or property appraisal is about $355, with prices typically ranging from $250 to $500. The final cost is influenced by several factors, including the property's size, age, location, and how it compares to other homes in the area. Appraisals for larger, older, or non-conforming properties often cost more. While a single-family home appraisal usually costs between $300 and $400, appraising a multi-family home can range from $500 to $1,000 due to its increased size and complexity.

While it's smart to save up about 25 percent of the price of a home—to cover the down payment and closing costs—many loans require between less than 3% down to qualify. In either case, you'll need between 3 and 6 percent for the closing and moving costs as well as a strong financial history for mortgage approval.
