Scotts BPG Inspections

The inspectors were prompt and professional, and happy to explain things as they went about their jobs. We felt they were very thorough with the report being highly detailed.

Inspection was complete. When issues developed after the pour, Scott willingly returned to the site for another inspection. Could not ask for better service

The house was newer. There was less to find. There were lots of things: the guy wasn't early, less to inform me about. It was an easier exam.

I think they did great, they just didn't do perfect because I wish that they had been more informative towards me, as far as education being a first time home buyer. Did they do what they were hired to do? Yes, but in terms of even making my own decisions as the home buyer, I think if they'd been a little more informative, I would have been able to make better decisions. They were early - an hour and half early. I did not like that. They were early, they started the inspection early, which means I wasn't there and I wanted to be there and I wanted my realtor to be there. My realtor didn't even get to meet the inspector because he was done and wasn't willing to wait for my realtor to get there. I think that even with the C for punctuality, I'm being generous.

The service was on time, thorough, professional, and delivered the report in a very timely manner. I would absolutely use them again and have referred them to friends buying both residential and commercial properties.

I hired Scotts to do the inspection on the home I had purchased because they not only had great reviews on Angie's List, but they were referred to me from a family member and friend that had used them previously.  I had Gary as my inspector and he not only arrived on time, but was very professional, pleasant and informative.  He performed the inspection and walked me through everything, showing me pictures so that when I received the official report I knew exactly what he was talking about.  I had the report within 48 hours and it was very detailed.  I would definitely recommend Scotts Inspections to anyone needing their services in the future.

Our inspector was Gary out of North San Antonio. I was really disappointed with his service due to his lack of interpersonal skills. Upon greeting us he said maybe a few words before he was on his business of inspecting the home. My wife and I awkwardly sat on the couch expecting to go with him during his inspection instead to be sitting down for an hour waiting for his results. Based off of the website I expected to go with him during his inspection for a good explanation of everything. I also expected to have a well thorough explanation of everything he found, however, it was just a quick run down that lasted maybe 5 minutes. While he gave his results I had to stop him on at least 5 different occasions to explain some of his terminology in depth for the average person to understand. I understand he has a job to do but I think a big portion of his job should be to relay the information to the customer in an efficient manner which he did not. We did not close on this particular house and we do not plan on using Scott's Inspection for our future home due to this experience.

I called Scotts Inspection to schedule an appointment. They were able to do the inspection the next day. I met Kurt and another employee at the house. They were on time and very thorough. Both guys were very nice and informative. I noticed a few things on the house but they had already take note of areas I had noticed. Its great to have great customer service and a job done right. I would not hesitate to call Scotts Inspection to get your home inspected.

Good experience with Scott's.  Contacted the company and scheduled everything online via their website and/or e-mail.  I had about two weeks notice and they were able to accommodate the scheduling needs.  Sent initial paperwork and link to pay for inspection online.  Inspection was performed on time and received a detailed inspection report literally within 2-3 hours post-inspection.  Professional service.

This was my first home purchase and based on recommendations online I decide to go with Scott's Inspection.
My appointment was scheduled for 9:00am  on a Wednesday and I was asked, if an earlier inspection became available, if I wanted to switch. I said yes and received a call on the Friday before saying a time was available on Monday, so I said yes, please go ahead and switch. Unfortunately the Sellers were not available at that time, but my previous time of Wednesday at 9:00am was already given away, so I had to move the appointment to Wednesday afternoon.  Mistakes happen, but I do wish the office staff would have held my original time until everything was confirmed.
Our inspector was on time and the entire inspection only took about an hour and fifteen minutes. The house was in decent shape. I could tell that our inspector knew what he was doing and he did answer all of our questions we had at the time.
What was lacking was the report he sent. There were some items that I thought would be on there that weren't. The windows had no type (which I had to go back and check myself). Also since some of the windows were dirty a non-working seal could not be found. I didn't think it was terribly difficult to just open and close all the windows...No approximate ages were listed for the furnace or hot water heater. I've seen inspection reports and all include this information. 
I called our inspector after the inspection was over to ask one clarifying question. He called me back within 5 minutes. After I received the report I sent him a follow up email with two questions. Never heard back. 
I also received an email follow up from Scott himself asking how the company did. I wrote back to him asking if he had a few minutes to speak. Never heard back. 
All of that aside, we were able to close on our home.

They were recommended by the real estate agent. There was one where they wanted to bill us for connection inspection but it was included and they ended up taking it off.
