"I was very pleased with the quality of the carpentry work but the painter who worked with the carpenter did not do a quality job. Would hire the carpenter again but would not opt to have anything painted."

"Great crew. They listened, but were a little disbelieving when I told them that it was going to cost more and take longer. With the experience I've had working on projects throughout my home, this happened every single time. I just laughed. The project manager did help me with saving on a project we were going to do, but hadn't decided on yet. Thanks to a tariff, we were able to get it done for a much more affordable price. We had 3 projects done by them. New furnace, kitchen remodel, and crown molding and baseboards installation."

"We are in the middle of remodeling our kitchen, dining, utility area, and they have had a general contractor on site 6 days a week. They are installing custom cabinets, moving walls to give us a walk-in pantry, removed a wall between dining and kitchen, installed pocket doors, a new window/door system , including built-in automatic dog door, etc. The quality is excellent! They are so easy to work with!! They have also remodeled our back covered patio area and Living room and we love that the finished product in both spaces. They have also completed remodels for 3 of our rental homes (including tiling bathrooms, showers, taking down walls, walling in a formal living with a closet to make a 4th bedroom, installing all flooring throughout the homes, painting the homes throughout, etc.). We cannot say enough good things about Right Approach. We love them so much and highly recommend them for anyone looking to remodel their home or rental."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

How long it takes to build an in-law suite will vary by type. The time it takes to build an addition will typically be less than for completely new construction. Expect to spend about two months if you convert a basement, attic, or other existing room in your home. New structures can take up to five months, plus up to two months to receive the required permits.

Aging-in-place universal design features can make your home more comfortable for family members who are older or have disabilities; they can also make your home safer. In addition, adding a universal-design bathroom can boost your home’s overall resale value.

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.

Yes, integrating sustainable practices and energy efficiency into plans is common.
