Backyard Enviroments

In July, we hired Backyard Environments to resurface our pool and repair the mastic on the pool deck. After we had made the final payment and were able to use our pool, my husband noted some issues with the mortar joint above the waterline tile. It was cracking and falling out in some areas. We also noted that there are areas where the mastic was not properly installed, leaving holes where water can seep under the decking. We told Billy of the issues on July 30th. He indicated he would return in the fall to repair it. We have tried to contact him using multiple methods of communication since Oct. 1st with no response. We would advise anyone considering hiring Backyard Environments/Billy Sullivan to reconsider, as he refuses to warranty his work. Since then, I have noticed that Backyard Environments website features a HomeAdvisor seal that reads, 5 years HomeAdvisor screened and approved. However, it said Not HomeAdvisor Approved when I went to the HomeAdvisor website to write this review.

I came to visit my sister in Texas, with promise that her backyard would be done upon my arrival. Our trip was pushed back after finding out there would be a delay. To my knowledge, the project was set to start late fall. I am staring at a torn up backyard, and haven’t seen any employees throughout my stay. I’m not impressed.

Billy and Chris were responsive to concerns and questions. Although there were some delays and a couple of minor issues, these were largely related to supply/labor scarcity or subcontractor changes. We love our pool. Itâ s beautiful. And we appreciate them. Would recommend.

I put in a pool in 2020. It took 8 months to complete the project. Billy was very responsive to any questions that I had. He would return calls that day. The pool looks great and we love it.

Billy listened to us and was the only one who hit our design 100% the first time! He offered suggestions to help us design the pool and backyard environment of our dreams. We ran into some delays due to rain days but he stayed in constant contact with us. He expects quality workmanship from his team and they delivered. We are about 70% done with the pool but the process has been amazingly easy and I m so happy to be able to work directly with Billy Sullivan throughout the entire process. I ll update when all finished.

Billy stands behind his work and visited me many times when I had any questions. I very pleased with my patio cover and recommend Backyard Enviroments without hesitation!!

Billy is great. Good presentation, very professional and knowledgeable. He's willing to meet to help pick out materials and provide direction. Not pushy in any way. Great to work with someone with a local and personalized feel rather than a bigger corporation. Price was in line with several others, not the cheapest but definitely get what you pay for. Had a smaller group of subs he works with which did delay the process a little. Overall great experience and would recommend in the future.
