They arrived on time; were very polite and made sure all my furniture and carpeting was covered to avoid any paint spills. There was a lot of work to do on the dining/living room ceiling due to a water leak from a shower drain in the upstairs bathroom. While they did paint the entire ceiling downstairs with 2 coats of paint we noticed that some of the texturing in the damaged part did not quite match the rest of the ceiling. We called Adam Reissner after a few weeks went by and he came back out and agreed that this needed to be re-done. He sent his painters back to us in October and they handled the issue with the ceiling and then re-painted the entire ceiling again. We really appreciate CertaPro's efforts in getting this sorted out for us. We would definitely recommend them to anyone!

We had already had plumbers out two days before for flooding and they found a major blockage and could only get the emergency taken care of. Because it was the first day in the home and everything was in boxes, we couldn't call the home warranty company (they refused to cover it after the fact as that first plumber was not a contracted plumber with their company). This time, two days later new flooding, we called AHS warranty company and this is who they sent. The guy wanted to re-create the flooding yet again even though we had 3 expensive fans running and damp ceilings! He had to "verify there was a problem". As if anyone would somehow damage their ceilings on purpose and rent fans and then call a plumber out on a lark! Those fanshad been running for two days already to dry out the ceilings and walls from the first flood--I was leaving town the next day and we already knew from the previous plumber the diagnosis. I wouldn't let him run water through the ceilings and walls again. We asked him to run a camera first. He told us he couldn't do that, as I wouldn't let him run the water and make a new flood! He said that he would have to cut into the ceiling drywall to find out if it was a copper pipe leak or a blockage and loose pipe fitting. Earlier, the warranty company had told me only plumbing was covered, not secondary damage or drywall cutting. It was obvious it wasn't a copper pipe leak, or the water would be there all the time. I never got an explanation as to why he couldn't run the camera (the least invasive method) first. Finally, he said he couldn't help us and walked off the job. He wouldn't look at the facts and wanted to take the easiest method, but we still would have had to have another plumber run a camera as the blockage was from hard water/calcium deposits plus baby wipes the prior owners had flushed. The guy wouldn't even go to bat for us with the warranty company and recommend the camera as the option, as it was clear there was a plumbing problem. He had to "recreate" the flood, or cut into the drywall--what if he cut the wrong place and kept going? He refused to run the camera and walked off the job. I'm sure he wasn't going to repair that drywall, and neither was the warranty company! That's my next review... American Home Shield and We Fix It Plumbing--F Minus!! Lee (the owner) came by mid-morning on April 16th and was able to install the solar panel powered fan unit by removing the roofing tiles, cutting into the roof and then mounting the fan assembly.
The total time was about 2-3 hours which included hooking things up in the attic space. The only problem with the electric hookup was that things apparently had to be connected in a certain order. Not sure if the instructions were read on this, and I didn't even realize that this had to be done until the fan stopped working about 2 weeks after installation.
The technical support at US Sunlight knew exactly what the problem was and walked me through the steps to connect it correctly. They said that incorrect connection order was one of their most common and frequent support request issues.
That's the only issue I take with the job done, and I guess as the saying goes... read the flippin' instructions (RTFI).
Not to make a plug on the solar fan itself, but the fan works great for pulling hot air out of the attic, if anyone is interested."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/universal-city/brant-home-repair-and-remodeling-reviews-6285654.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"C & N Painting & Minor Repairs","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Thomas M."},"reviewBody":"They repaired a hole in my ceiling, in another part the popcorn texture was coming loose so they redid those surface, painted, textured then replaced the sheet rock."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/san-antonio/c-and-n-painting-and-minor-repairs-reviews-292575.htm"},"position":10}]}

Gentleman did good job. Inspected unit in attic first, then serviced outside fans. Cleaned out debris he found in fans and added a little freon. Told that units were in good working condition. Only complaint was promtness. He was about an hour later than the window given to me.

"I had a problem with my AC and called them for a service appointment. John Wayne has a good reputation, so I chose to call them and they were quick to respond. The tech who came to my residence was very friendly and professional, however, he seemed more like a sales rep than a technician. After a few hours and $950 worth of work, he indicated that the HVAC system was not repairable. He created a quote for various options to install a new system. I had previously researched average costs for replacement of a 5 ton / 16 SEER system, which averaged approximately $9-10K for a reputable company with reliable brands. The first option the tech provided was for $40,600, which was a little surprising. He offered several options, with the cheapest being $10,700 for the lowest quality equipment and least warranty. He indicated that the primary difference between John Wayne and other companies is the quality and training of the employees. He also used typical sales techniques, such as “why would you feel different tomorrow” when I indicated that I’d prefer to think about the decisive overnight. During research online, I saw that John Wayne uses Amana products, which are a little more expensive but highly rated and manufactured here in Texas. I purchased a system one echelon higher than the lowest priced system for $13,700, still well-above what I was prepare to pay; however, the tech indicated that they would waive the outstanding $950 bill if I purchased the system and they would be able to install the next day. The next morning, four techs arrived, all pleasant and professional; however, only one appeared to be a trained technician, while the other three appeared to be labor for assisting and conducting menial tasks, such as cleaning the ducts. Within the first hour, two of them accidentally shattered several sconces on the chandelier in my dining room when a piece of equipment fell while cleaning a duct. They are still here in my house installing, but I truly feel like paid too much. Again, I don’t doubt that they are a solid company, but feel like was pressed by a salesman rather than a technician when I needed an urgent problem addressed. I believe I could’ve purchased just as good of a system, maybe better, from a reliable company for a few thousand dollars less."

FAQs for ceiling fan service projects in Kingsbury, TX
Standard ceiling fans are the traditional-style fans made from plastic, wood, metal, or fiberboard.
Smart ceiling fans allow you to control it with your smartphone or voice commands.
Dual-motor ceiling fans have two motors that produce more airflow in multiple directions.
Energy-Star ceiling fans are similar to standard fans but can be up to 60% more energy efficient than other fans, lowering your utility bill.
Large ceiling fans work best in large rooms where the ceilings are between 10 and 25 feet high.
If you need to install electrical wiring for your new ceiling fan, contact a local ceiling fan installer to help with this project. If you’re not a licensed electrician, installing wiring yourself could be a code violation. Even worse, this project can be dangerous if not done correctly.
However, if you’re replacing an existing ceiling fan, and you are an experienced DIYer, you may be able to install it yourself. This option might involve purchasing a special ladder if you have a vaulted ceiling. Replacing a ceiling fan yourself can save on labor costs, but if you aren’t handy, be sure to call a pro.
Not every ceiling fan is best suited for every room type. The size of the room dictates the size of your ceiling fan. Consult a ceiling fan installer to determine the right fan for your room and reference this sizing information:
Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan of 29 to 36 inches.
Rooms from 75 to 175 square feet require a fan of 42 to 48 inches.
Rooms from 176 to 350 square feet require a fan of 52 to 56 inches.
Rooms over 350 square feet require a fan of larger than 60 inches.
The time it takes to install a ceiling fan depends on whether you have existing wiring. If you’re swapping out one ceiling fan for another, it’ll take one to two hours for your ceiling fan professional to make the switch. However, if your ceiling fan installer needs to install wiring or if it's a difficult installation—places like high ceilings, porches, or attics—it could take up to four hours for complete installation.
The cost to install a ceiling fan is $250 on average, ranging from $85 to $605 or more, depending on the fan type and size and if additional wiring or switches are required.
Standard fans are typically the most cost-effective, ranging from $50 to $300 to install. Complex ceiling fans like rotational fans with a dual motor are usually the most expensive to install, ranging from $200 to $1,500. It’s important to note that installing a ceiling fan in a room without existing wiring is a very complex job that could cost up to $2,000.
