"Rating in “Stars” is hardly appreciative enough. Hickory “knocked it out of the park” regarding service and quality. All owing to the owner, Matt Salam and his professional work ethics. He deserves a “Moon” rating!! I was in Commercial Real Estate 43 years, so I know from where I speak. One of the keys to success is having a specialist in each field required for the job. This is what Matt does. I had a tub to shower conversion. That endeavor received four (4) specialists, plus the Owner of Hickory, Matt; who is not a salesman, but an architect and designer, which turns out to be extremely helpful. Everyday I was continually amazed at Matt. I am 76 and in all my professional career, I have worked with many contractors. Never had one show up “every day”, until Hickory ‘s owner, Matt Salam. "We’re currently remodeling two bathrooms under the same contract. The first bathroom is complete, and the second one just started this week. While their bid wasn’t the lowest we received, it felt fair and, in hindsight, definitely worth it. The project manager was an excellent communicator—knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and never pressured us to accept the offer. We’re extremely pleased with the quality of work on the first bathroom and are confident the second will turn out just as well. A tip for future clients: make sure you have all the necessary materials on hand. We did, and the team completed the bathroom ahead of schedule. The space is narrow, so the photo angles don’t do it justice, but I hope they still give a sense of the high-quality work delivered."
