"From booking my move with Eduardo a week before the actual move to the minute the team of 3 guys who moved me pulled away from my new home, the experience was top notch! And it rained throughout the move and that didn?t slow the guys down. They were quick and efficient, and very careful - not a single item was damaged. I highly recommend Eduardo and the A-1 Moving team!"

"Working with Heritage owners to plan and quote the move was painless. The owners and moving staff are very professional, thorough and courteous. The moving staff prepped both ends of the move to protect the home doors, walls and floors and handled our items with the utmost care. I highly recommend them to anyone moving their furnishings."

"Moving household goods across town. Hurricane Harvey was on its way to shores on the Texas coast but San Antonio was dry and sunny on Friday August 25 thankfully. Our movers Bruce and Jacob were professional and very efficient moving our heavy furniture from a 2 story condo into a home. They took care not to damage walls or doorways. They wrapped some furniture pieces so that drawers would not open during the move. They were patient during unloading when getting direction where to place items. Couldn't have asked for a better move!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

In Katy, if you notice warped wood floors from tracked-in moisture, doors that no longer close properly, or HVAC vents blocked by furniture after moving projects, it may signal poor handling by local movers. Water stains in garages, missing hardware on appliances, or improperly reassembled furniture are also red flags. Address these issues quickly to prevent long-term damage and ensure your home is move-in ready.

Helpful?

Homes in Katy that feature wide streets, accessible driveways, and minimal elevation changes are ideal for moving projects. If your property has a secure, dry area for temporary storage and no ongoing construction nearby, it’s even better. Flexible HOA guidelines and easy access for local movers also make the process smoother. Homes in flood-prone areas or with limited parking may require extra planning for a successful move.

Helpful?

In Katy, you can address minor concerns before hiring a moving company by checking for signs of humidity damage on boxes, using moisture-absorbing packets, and ensuring walkways are clear for safe transport. Secure fragile items with extra padding, and double-check that all utilities are functional before the moving project begins. These steps help local movers work efficiently and protect your belongings from local weather challenges.

Helpful?

In Katy, homeowners should plan moving projects around local weather patterns, especially heavy rain or high humidity, which can affect both timing and safety. Check if your neighborhood has restrictions on moving truck access or specific hours for moving companies. Consider school schedules and local events that may impact traffic, and always confirm utility transfer dates to avoid service interruptions during your move.

Helpful?

In Katy, moving projects can bring unexpected expenses like fees for navigating gated communities, extra charges for handling oversized items, or costs related to last-minute storage needs. Local movers may also charge for delays caused by traffic or restricted parking. Being aware of these potential issues and confirming details with your moving company helps you avoid surprises and ensures a smoother transition.
