"They did a good job of cleaning the ducting but when the removed the air filter they didn’t turn off the recirc fan and the excess dust and dirt went and got stuck in the A coil. I had to remove the sides of the unit in the attic to be able to remove the big clumps of dust/dirt so they didn’t stop up my coils. Other than that they did a great job. Air duct cleaning/ sterilization of the system. It has a couple of vents with mold spores starting. The technician found them and put them to the side for me to look at and recommend that they were replaced so I did."

Surprise, surprise... yet another negative review. Let's start with Eddy O., the so-called "General Manager." Our Experience Eddy made it clear that Xtreme Air Services "wouldn't be able to help us" if we posted negative reviews about their incompetence, despite the fact that they improperly installed our unit, left us with a potential fire hazard, and disabled one of our heat coils (without our consent). Screenshot attached. After leaving us with a heater that doesn't function properly in winter, their solution? Pay thousands more if we want them to "help." Comical. So, in order to get the service we already paid for, we have to stay quiet? Oops. A Few Key Points: 1. Threatening not to help the customer with an issue you created? That's just ignorant. Zero integrity. 2. Why would we pay more to an unprofessional company that sends unqualified, non-bonded, non-insured workers to botch an installation? Rude, unaccountable, and incompetent from top to bottom. 3. This experience makes spending our money elsewhere EASY. The CEO is an imbecile. We paid over $12K for a unit that now operates on half power because the breaker they installed can't handle it. A professional company would've caught this--Xtreme Air Services didn't. Even their own seventh technician admitted, within seconds, that it was installed incorrectly. Still not convinced? Let's Talk Fire Hazards Both the Xtreme Air Services technician AND a third-party electrician confirmed our system was a fire hazard. Eddy (who is not a licensed electrician) claimed it wasn't because "that's why the breaker trips." That's not how fire hazards work, Eddy. This system was installed in the summer. Clearly, not one of the seven techs they sent even tested the heating function beyond a few moments. Fast forward to winter--our heater trips the breaker after 5-10 minutes, sometimes running inconsistently (aka, a fire hazard). Xtreme Air's Response? * No accountability. * No apology. * Just more incompetence from "General Manager" Eddy, a pompous clown who lacks both professionalism and basic customer service skills. Instead of addressing their negligence, he condescended, interrupted, and dismissed legitimate concerns. He even had the audacity to tell me we "don't have that many cold days in Texas." What does that have to do with selling and installing a properly functioning heating system? The real kicker? Their own sales team KNEW this system wouldn't work. They either failed to test it or outright lied. Either way, we now have a fire hazard and an unusable heater unless we fork over an additional $2,500-$3,000. "I called Dring AC for a $70 "ac summer tuneup." The only reason I even called them was because they bought out the company that originally installed and maintained my origian AC, SunAir. At the time my AC was working without any issues. Dring came out on July 7 for the tuneup. He looked at the system and said there were parts that needed to be replaced. I specifically told him that I was did not want any repairs done because it was working fine and I asked for an estimate for replacement. He called a sales rep to come give me an estimate for replacement. While speaking with the sales rep, the tech said "I'm just going to replace your contactor to keep you running." which I did not authorize him to do. The contactor was one of the parts he claimed needed to be repaired, however I had already told him that I did not want any repairs done because the ac was already running fine. Then the tech came back inside and said after he changed the contactor, the capacitator blew. He then went to replace the capacitator, and a second one blew. Now I'm left with an ac that no longer worked, and according to Dring, was now unrepairable. This entire interaction is all on video, down to the last word, thanks to my home security system which covers both the interior and exterior of my house. At this point it's late on a Friday afternoon, my ac is out, its over 100 degrees outside and I have a pregnant wife and 3 pets living in the house. I had no choice but to move forward with having them replace the ac and was denied any opportunity to do my research or get quotes from other companies for replacing the system. On July 8, they came to replace the system. System was replaced, however, they were supposed to rerun the duct from the ac to the master bedroom and did not do so, despite that being one of my primary initial concerns not to mention was specifically told they would do that during the installation. They also took my $200 Nest thermostat and left a huge mess in the attic. When they "finished" the installation, I was handed an ipad to sign that didn't show me anything other than to sign. I received zero paperwork from the company at any point in time, not even for the loan I had to take out to pay for the replacement. Infuriated, I started to call other companies to get quotes and discovered I was SIGNIFICANTLY overcharged for the replacement system by almost double what it should have cost, literally thousands of dollars. Additionally, I have to find another company to come resolve the duct issue that Dring was supposed to complete and replace my Nest. I was also charged an additional $1k for service to clean all the hvac ducts, except when the duct cleaning company came, they informed me that there was no reason to clean the ducts since a majority of them had just been replaced. After filing a complaint with the BBB, the issue was considered to be resolved upon someone from Dring calling me and leaving one voicemail and then never returning my return calls. Not only was Dring's service reprehensible, it should be criminal to get away with the price gouging that they use. There's no better evidence for this tactic than their pricing timeline structure. Although it is commonplace for companies to use price incentives to encourage a purchase sooner rather than later, the sheer gap between their price for "today" vs one week vs one month, a gap of more than $10k, is just proof of how much they are padding their profits, all at the consumer's expense. At the end of the day, it is absolutely egregious for a company to come in for a tune-up, literally break your AC that was working when they arrived, and the extremely gouge you on the price of replacement. It's beyond egregious. I would NEVER let DRING touch my hvac unit EVER again. You've been warned."

"In August 2022, after hearing about DFW Improved on a home improvement radio show, we entered into two contracts with them for a roof replacement and interior water damage repair. These contracts were based on insurance-approved scopes following the 2021 ice storm. DFW Improved began the roof replacement project first. Following the replacement, the roof continued to leak due to their failure to replace the flashings. Despite corresponding work items in the insurance scope (confirmed later by the insurance adjuster's email), the DFW Improved salesperson insisted that flashing was not part of the roof. He threatened legal action if further payment was not made. Prior to this, they presented two identical model shingles as choices, which their own roof subcontractor on-site disclosed. Upon our inquiry via email, instead of addressing the issue, the salesperson accused us of defaming their company. Furthermore, they quoted $900 for a non-existent siding hole and estimated $25,000 for a bookcase, which their own designer valued at $6,000 to $7,000. While the roof leaking issue was still unresolved, DFW Improved began interior work. Instead of submitting the agreed supplement request as agreed, they skipped necessary steps to cut water-damaged drywall. To prevent wasted effort, we instructed workers to stop. The salesperson responded, stating that workers would not proceed with any work not approved by insurance. However, he emailed the insurance company claiming that the work had already been completed, causing significant confusion for us. During the halt period, we sent out numerous issues such as broken air pipes, cracked roof rafters, missing insulation, roof holes, missing felt paper, and a leaking roof. However, we received no response other than prevaricate explanations and demanding for money. We escalated to the DFW Improved upper manager who responded that they are their best team members and disregarded our request for an alternative project team. DFW Improved abandoned the projects and warranties, and initiated separation in December 2022. Both parties engaged in negotiations over separation costs. During this process, DFW Improved unexpectedly sent four individuals to our house, claiming to inspect texture work and demanding payment. Subsequently, DFW Improved placed a lien on our house, and their lawyer sent a demanding letter stating they would auction our house and (quote)“sue Vigorously” if payment was not made, despite the mediation/arbitration clause clearly outlined in the contracts. Under this pressure, we filed a claim in Tarrant County Small Claims Court, where the lien was placed. Later, their lawyer filed a motion to transfer the case to Collin County, where DFW Improved is based. We refused to comply with a demand for $5,000 and the confidentiality requirement during mediation. DFW Improved filed a new case simultaneously in the higher Tarrant County District Court, demanding a new amount of $59,845 and seeking to enforce the lien, providing no explanation for this amount. According to their co-owner's email, their accounting book calculated that we owed them a total of $1,260 (detailed below). During pre-mediation discussions, their lawyer attempted to justify their request for $8k, citing that a significant portion was allocated to attorneys' fees. We did not engage their lawyer to send us a threatening letter containing false statements about suing us without mediation. Their lawyer also declined $65 public mediator service provided by the Tarrant Small Claims Court. Additionally, they unilaterally escalated the dispute to a higher court. We have never been late with their payments. In fact, DFW Improved made a math error by crediting the blind work twice. When we brought this to their attention, DFW Improved spent extra time correcting the invoice, and their salesperson initiated an internal investigation. Any delay was certainly not caused by us. DFW Improved filed a lien attempting to collect the costs again, despite already receiving payment. See the invoice they submitted, which completely overlooks the $35,895.76 payment we made (supported by our bank transactions). —-------------The payment schedule on the contract has major math errors—--------- Payments for the work are due as follows: Contract Total $ 194,972.33 $ 19,497.23 deposit is due at initial design meeting.(10% of the Contract Total) 20% of the Contract Total is due at the preconstruction meeting. 30% of the Contract Total is due at start of drywall repair. ←– we requested halt at this phase and according to texas property code Sec. 28.003. EXCEPTION FOR GOOD FAITH DISPUTE; we can WITHHOLDING up to 110% of the difference between the amount the obligee claims is due and the amount the obligor claims is due. 30% of the Contract Total is due at start of countertop/trim installation. ←–we don’t even have any work for countertop 17% of the Contract Total is due at walkthrough. Remaining contract total is due at completion. 10%+20+30%+30%+17% + Remaining is more than 107%!
