"I am extremely pleased with MILEX (MILO insulation). Work was done June 7 & 8, 2021. I have noticed a significant improvement in my home. Very professional, on time, worked nonstop except for a lunch break the first day (removing all old insulation- it was a MESS!). Worked nonstop the 2nd day - blowing in the insulation. I donâ  t hesitate to recommend to anyone and everyone"

Small jobs welcome

"I had a great first impression, Murry showed up exactly when the appointment was set to give me an estimate. Again, on the designated work day Murry, Juan and Jet showed up on time and started to work. They took pictures of everything before and after along with measuring sticks to show how much insulation was blown in. They filled out paperwork so they could apply for rebates that will help me out with Oncor and my taxes. They worked as a team and were always kind and courteous to me. I would definitely recommend Remington Insulation to any of my neighbors and friends!"

"The team at NxT Level Insulation did an exceptional job with our attic insulation. Dillon was incredibly helpful in explaining the process and the crew he led was efficient and professional. We're noticing the difference already - the temperature is more consistent throughout the house, and our HVAC is running much better."

"Tech who showed up to do inspection was thorough. Climbed into small attic, took pictures and explained what their findings were. Other inspections (I had 2 more) just popped their heads into the entrance and too my word for what may need to be done. Scheduling with Attic Construction was simple. They showed up on time (early). They let me peak up their as they cleaned up old insulation and remove rodent droppings (biggest concern). They finished within the day as promised and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. Our home was well protected from dings/damages as they wrapped corners of walls, stairs etc. We have noticed improvement from having only 3.5 inches of insulation to now nearly 14-15 inches. They recommended a "combo" of batt insulation (Around the entrance) and blown in for the rest of the area. This allows you to pop in there with out blown in insulation falling all over the place. They also recommended and performed rodent proofing/sealing. We were sent photos of both before and after their work. I would highly recommend this company."

"This was one of the only companies who would come in and blow in insulation JUST ABOVE a new project area. Other companies wanted to blow in insulation in the whole attic, not the small addition I had completed. Like other reviews, he took before and after pictures. I appreciated that they were on-time, thorough and efficient in completing my little project."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Hanging a thick blanket over your windows will help to keep the heat inside, but only a little. Covering the glass will also prevent the sunlight from getting in, which might actually decrease the efficiency of your window overall. If you get to the point where you’re hanging blankets over your window to keep warm, call in an expert to seal around your windows to prevent warm air from escaping. They may also recommend replacing old windows that aren’t as insulative as newer window technology. Sealing a window isn’t terribly expensive and can make a big difference.

Insulation prevents heat transfer, which keeps your home cool in summer and warm in winter. Regulating the temperature in your home is not only more comfortable for you, but will lower your heating and cooling bills—it’s a win-win. Make sure to determine the correct amount of insulation to ensure it is enough for your home and climate.

Yes, brick houses are better insulated, because the bricks slow down the passage of air from the outside to the inside and vice-versa. This helps to stabilize the internal temperature of the home. When combined with proper residential insulation, brick houses are more efficient and better insulated than other types.

A plastic vapor barrier should completely cover your basement to prevent water from penetrating through the walls. This typically goes before installing insulation to prevent moisture from building up and becoming trapped on the inside of your insulation, where it can collect and lead to mold damage. Installing insulation after the vapor barrier allows for any moisture to exit the walls for better ventilation.

Reduces energy costs, improves comfort, and prevents ice dams in winter.
