"From setting the appointment to the actual delivery went very smoothly. I called on a Tuesday to set a Thursday move. Talk about accommodating! Next was the discussion of price which was fair plus there was coupon from Angie's List and a discount if we paid in cash. Talk about savings! Moving day arrived and the awesome movers (Zane and Mario) calls to confirm and let me know that they were also early. At the pick up house, there were a few obstacles because the front gate wouldn't open and would need to cut through the house to load at the back of the house. My parents house is full of rugs and breakable decorations. Zane and Mario were so graceful maneuvering through the house and returned every single item back in place. At the drop off house was the same. Zane and Mario were so friendly and professional. Sure it was only one item but I can definitely tell that if they were moving a two bedroom, they would still perform the same way. Company and movers are highly recommended! Big tip: make sure you tell the moving company or movers every detail possible of what they may encounter from how many steps there are on the front or what room they will be going through so they can plan it out."

"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Yep, they did it again! This was my third move with this company, and I could not have had a better move. I moved from an upstairs apartment to the one right below me. Larry came out and we "visited" as he took notes for the estimate. The crew was on time and professional as always. The move was scheduled for a pack, move, and unpack to take place over three days. It was done in two days! I highly recommend them for your moving needs. They get the job done right reliably, quickly, and professionally."

Moving questions, answered by experts

You should transfer utilities at least two weeks before your final move-out date. It is best to schedule the turning off of all utilities 24 hours after your move. Doing so will ensure a smooth transition without any gaps in service while you are still living in the home.

Moving a kitchen cabinet can be extremely tricky for DIYers, especially if it's attached to plumbing, electrical outlets, or walls. The project requires meticulous planning, the right tools, and some muscle, not to mention a friend or two to help. While experienced do-it-yourselfers can manage it, hiring a pro is often safer to avoid damaging cabinets, countertops, or surrounding fixtures.

The first step in moving a house is to provide blueprints and assess which parts of the house you can move. The next steps are obtaining permits, inspecting the structure, securing road permits, and getting bank approval.

When it's time to move, professionals can prepare the house by disconnecting utilities, removing items, and adding support braces. The house is then lifted with steel beams, jacked up, and placed on dollies for transport. Once it’s at the new location, it gets lowered onto the new foundation, utilities get reconnected, and additional features, like porches or garages, are added.

Deciding whether it's worth it to hire movers depends on your budget, patience, and physical capabilities. It's difficult to gauge the amount of work that moving calls for, and it's easy to be off by about tenfold.

If you're able to call in some favors and round up friends to help, you might get through it just fine, but if you only have a few hands helping, things can quickly get overwhelming. Either way, bringing in the pros will save considerable time and stress, so if it's within your budget, it's a great investment.

In most cases, you don’t need to order food for movers. They will schedule breaks to eat throughout the day. However, you can provide drinks and snacks in an easy-to-access location for the movers to grab throughout the day.
