Customers say: Super punctual

"We bought a 7 figure house in and added a mid 6 figure pool complex, only to learn that as a result of living downhill we had an underground river threatening out entire investment. After playing around with french drains and other simple measures we called in the owner, Mike of Advantage Drain. He played it straight with us, letting us know what it would take to save our property. It was not cheap, but his solution was commercial quality grade and what was needed. I marvel now every day at the elaborate solution he came up with. I would encourage anyone who is fearful of what water is doing to their investment to allow them to recommend the right solution. Great team., both technically and personally and a pleasure to work with them."

"I just moved to Tarrant County in November and had NO clue what local plumbing service-providers to use for our plumbing issues (leaky drain & clogged toilet). I decided to go to Angi’s List and found Bluefrog Plumbing & Drains. Bluefrog’s customer service was exceptional from start to finish! They were the first service provider to contact me, ask for details on services needed, provide me an online quote and schedule an appointment for me for the very next day!! A Very Special Thank You to the plumbing technician, Tommy!!! Tommy was polite, courteous, knowledgable in his trade and did a fantastic job fixing our plumbing issues! If you have plumbing issues and you live in North Texas…Call Bluefrog Plumbing & Drains! You will NOT REGRET IT!!! Sincerely, New Bluefrog Plumbing & Drain Customer for Life!!! Brooke F. "Lon and his crew were excellent! We have a basement in our home in the DFW airport area. Half of the basement is under ground and was flooding enough during storms that we had to run wet dry vacs and dehumidifiers for up to 48 hours whenever there was a big thunderstorm or extended periods of consistent rain. Lon did his work over a year ago and I hesitated to write a review until some major rain came around. But since he did his work, we have not had any water related to seepage in the foundation reappear. What a blessing! This was not an easy job for his team. When they got in to create the ditch, we found the previous homeowners tried their own fix with less expensive corrugated black pipe buried a little higher. This had collapsed and the massive number of rocks for drainage were quickly taking the water to our foundation rather than out to the street. Lon's team removed all of those rocks, dug a new trench, used a sledgehammer on some bedrock to ensure they were below the foundation with all of their drains and took a new 6" diameter solid line out almost 100 yards to the street. They also laid a second pipe on top of it to drain rainwater from our gutters. The result is incredibly impressive. When we get drenched, it's no big deal. Drains that used to be overwhelmed during severe thunderstorms were replaced with ones that quickly take the water out to the street. An engineering miracle. I highly recommend Lon and the team for their integrity, quick (and hard) work and getting it right. The guys really know what they are doing when it comes to drainage."

"Jesse came to asses and bid the job and gave me different options. I thought my water heater was 12yrs old-13maybe, but it was over 20. More bids/estates came in much higher than theirs AND I also learned from others I could buy my own water heater and pay a plumber for insulation only. So I got a new WH and an extended warranty on it. Mother Plumber sent a Fantastic-informative-polite technician Matt to install and warranted his work. AND THEN I learned about the membership without auto renewal AND I saved even more money on that! I can tell you, you can’t beat this company in price and coverage. And i just trust them. Trust is a big issue. They make money, but they give you so much more than the others and coverage thru membership that keeps you safe year after year if you’re smart. Thanks to Mother Plumber, I feel brilliant!"

"CR Plumbling is the only plumber I will ever use or refer to someone in this area. For the past 3 years, we have been dealing with a shower leak in our guest bathroom. We have had 5 plumbers from two local companies, including two master plumbers, try to assess and resolve the issue to no avail. After many appointments, attempts, invoices, and damage to our home along the way, I had almost thrown in the towel. I gave it one last shot with CR Plumbing, and I'm so thankful I did. I sent an inquiry at 11 pm on a Thursday, and by 8 am Friday morning, I had a phone call to walk through the problem and schedule a service call. Knowing we had been through the ringer, we were scheduled to meet with Clay, the owner, which was comforting to know they took the repair so seriously. He also brought along two additional plumbers to ensure many perspectives were taken to make sure it was fixed right the first time. They were able to identify the problem almost immediately and it didn't require cutting through any walls, ceiling, or tile. They ordered the parts they needed and were back the next day to repair the shower. It was quick, effective, and cost efficient. They also maintained COVID protocols throughout the visit, which put us at ease. I'm happy to say that for the first time in 3 years, we can finally use our shower! Thank you, Clay and Phil! We are so grateful for your service."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Homes need solid construction to survive a hurricane, including these parts:

  • A secure foundation at the right elevation for your home’s flood threat level

  • Hurricane straps to secure your home’s foundation

  • Waterproof basement sealant or rubberized sheeting that directs water away from the foundation

  • A strong, well-attached roof that’s firmly secured to the framing

  • Shutters or roll-down window protectors that you can close outside to prevent broken windows

  • A garage door bracing system to keep high winds from caving in or tearing off the door

  • Deadbolts to keep your exterior doors in place against wind pressure and floodwater

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

You do not have to purchase a storm door if you have a fiberglass door. Fiberglass doors offer numerous advantages, including durability and the ability to stand up to harsh conditions such as low or high temperatures. Fiberglass doors also have excellent insulation properties, so you don’t have to add on a storm door if you’re looking for better temperature regulation inside your home.

The benefits of a storm door include providing extra protection against severe weather, improving your home's insulation, and helping to keep pests out. They also add an extra layer of security to your entry door and can enhance your home's curb appeal.

Storm doors aren’t necessarily outdated. In fact, there are many benefits to installing a storm door, including improving your home’s energy efficiency, keeping pests out of your house, and protecting your home against the elements. However, storm doors aren’t great if you live in an area with high humidity because the door can trap heat and potentially damage your front door.
