"Fantastic service. We needed three mailboxes welded to an existing fence. Garcia Welding did a great job but it went beyond the project. April made sure we were one the same page the entire project. "It is a discount place for members. It was less than half the price of other companies. It was ridiculously cheap. We bought it for wholesale and we had the guy come out from there and the contractor too. It was good and they did a very good job with inexpensive price."

Double gates come with the same gaps as single gates, with hinges taking up a quarter of an inch of space. The difference is that double fence gates also have a center gap, which needs a little more clearance. An inward swing also prevents the gate from opening into a public space, like a sidewalk, and can be more convenient when carrying heavy items like a wheelbarrow into a garden.

There are exceptions, however. The layout of your property may require a different approach. For example, if your property is on a slope, the gate may not be able to swing inward. You should also ensure the gate can open fully without colliding with any objects or blocking access to other areas. For a backyard garden gate where public access isn't a concern, the direction it swings is largely a matter of personal preference. Finally, always check your local building codes, as they may have specific requirements for which way a gate must swing.
