"We thought the 4 exterior doors needed weather stripping replaced. There was a gap at each door bottom right corner where our cold air came in and our heat was escaping. Mr Ludwig showed up promptly on time. He could have done the replacements and been in and out quickly. He showed us the stripping was not the problem, the doors had settled out of alignment. He removed each and re-hung adjusting hinges on 1. All the gaps were gone and the doors looked square. We liked that he explained everything he did and why. Very thorough. Personable, articulate, knowledgeable, professional. Answered all our questions with patience and courtesy. Being older folks, we were very impressed with the entire experience. "I recently hired Robert to install a new range hood and related ducting to the outside of the house. I was initially impressed with Robert's work ethic when he came out to our home to size up the job and present me with a quote. Throughout the entire process, Robert always kept in touch and arrived promptly each day. Because of a piece of granite backsplash, Robert had to furr out the wall above the granite to accommodate the new range hood supporting bracket. This was anything but an easy install. Robert's exacting measurements saved the day, however, for they were right on the money. After the hood was up, Robert proceeded to cut out the openings for the duct work, installed new rigid vent pipes through the ceiling into the attic, installed the roof vent, connected the vent pipes to the roof vent, and built a sheetrock housing for the vent pipe above our cabinet (this included taping, floating and texturing this housing). Again, Robert's measurements and overall skill resulted in a stunning addition to our kitchen. I should note that Robert had to spend a considerable amount of time in our very cramped attic measuring where to cut the holes in our ceiling and roof for the vent pipe. Robert was the consummate professional, however, and never complained about the heat or working conditions in the attic. I strongly recommend Robert for any house projects one may have, for he is skilled in all facets of home construction."

"Louis Huggins (the L H Company) has done work on my house several times over the years. He always does excellent work! He is skilled and knowledgeable. He carefully assesses a problem and comes up with a plan of action. I highly recommend making a list of ALL your problem areas. Some things that I thought were hopeless or too expensive to fix, Louis would find a solution for. Most recently, he installed 3-piece crown molding, as well as trimmed out many window and doors in the Craftsman style. He also was able to change my textured drywall in those window wells to a surface that was so smooth, it looked like wood casing! Other tasks included installing new ceiling fans and adjusting doors that scraped. He completely redid an interior door frame that had been built very, very crookedly. Now it’s perfect! He has also made new window screens for me and installed multiple cabinet pulls. He also changed out an exterior lock and replaced caulk for the bathroom tub. It all looks great!! On top of being an excellent handyman, Louis is also a joy to work with. He is courteous, friendly, respectful, punctual, and very professional. I feel strongly that his rates are extremely reasonable for the quality of the work. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would."

"I was really impressed with the quality of work that went into the siding, caulking, and painting. Paul came out and walked me through each of the steps and explained exactly what would need to happen. He had a good set of suggestions for insulation / zip board as well as designs for the front area that I wanted redone. The real magic of the process was watching the siding team and the painting team work on the siding. I expected to have to clean up after them, but they cleaned up their nails / etc so well I had nothing to pick up. Not only were they fast, but their quality and meticulous perfection of caulking and siding was amazing. They did a great job taking down my rotted pergola safely and neatly (they sanded down the metal bolts on the ground to be flush when I asked). The team also took down an extra internet line I had running all the way around my house that was no longer used as part of the job, which I really appreciated. I should note that when they paint, they do not do sanding on doors/etc. It's spray paint. When I realized this, I took off an extra color, and Paul was thankfully very flexible on making an addendum and taking that off the final price, which I appreciated. They have only one team for siding and one team for painting, and one guy, Ryan, who puts everything back on the side, so scheduling has to work around when each team finishes a job. I did several quotes for different Angie's List companies before I landed on Austin Pro Siding, and I'm so glad I did end up with them. The price was very reasonable and the quality of their work is unparalleled. I highly recommend their services."
