"I had searched for a contractor for more than a year to maintain our quarter mile long rock Road. Got estimates from $900-$10,000. Three contractors never even showed up. Country roads Paving came the same day I called, got me an estimate the next day, and completed the work within a week. Their work was above and beyond what I expected for their very reasonable price. They even corrected some problems that were left over by previous contractors. The owners and everyone who worked with them were very professional and I am really happy with the work they did. I will definitely call them again for future projects."

Gravel is the cheapest way to extend a driveway. Gravel is an affordable, practical option that’s easy to install and perfect for DIY projects, helping you save on labor costs. It can be quickly spread and leveled to create extra driveway space without heavy preparation. While gravel doesn’t offer the same durability or finished look as concrete or asphalt, its low cost makes it ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who want a functional solution without overspending.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.

Box fill refers to the maximum number of conductors that can be contained within a wiring enclosure box, as well as the total volume of the components. Determining the allowable number of conductors in a box requires adding up the number of conductors, clamps, support fittings, devices and equipment, and equipment grounding conductors to make sure you’re within the allowable volume.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

If your driveway is cracked, you can repave it with a process called asphalt overlay. Overlay is more cost-effective than a full replacement but is better suited for minor cracks and issues. If you have major cracks or other problems like water pooling, asphalt overlay isn’t your best bet. Plus, paving over a cracked driveway only extends the lifetime by about 10 years, whereas replacing it would start the clock over completely to give you up to 30 years.
