"The flooring in my kitchen was sagging and I had concerns about the pier and beams under the house. I called Westtech foundation repair on a Tuesday and they were able to come out on the following Thursday, so very quick service. Adam was the first person that came to inspect the foundation. He saw some foundation issues but the subfloor in the kitchen was not a foundation issue. He let me know that Thomas (one of the owners) is a general contractor and could still help us get it repaired. Thomas was able to come over the same day and do another inspection of the kitchen floor. He said he had a carpenter he works with on a regular basis that can do the work we needed. He set up his carpender to fix the kitchen subfloor and Thomas fixed the issues with the beams under the house one week after the inspection. Very quick repair time. After they started removing the damaged subfloor the damage had spread further than intially thought. Although the damage meant more materials and labor Thomas was very fair and reasonable on price for the additional work. The repair on the foundation and the subfloor replacement took 3 days and it looks amazing. Thomas, Adam, and his crew are very professional and I will definetly use them again."

Some examples of more temporary solutions include mudjacking or slabjacking, waterproof paint, and dampproofing. Mold and other fungi love moisture, so the best way to prevent mold growth after water damage is to remove as much moisture as possible. A pier and beam foundation is made up of concrete piers and wooden beams and creates a space under the home known as a crawl space.
