They did so,so. They do carpet cleaning. I don't think they did as good as they have done in the past. I don't know if they were just in a hurry. They did okay, but usually they go above and beyond, but they did not seem to. We have a big house, but we don't have that much carpet in it. Only about half of our house is carpet. I just felt like they need to do more detail on some of the areas of the living room. We had some stains and stuff. The rest of the carpet was not that dirty. We pointed them out to see if maybe they might pay a little more attention, but they didn't really seem like they paid any more attention to it. The stains are starting to show back up. It looked good when they finished. I am not complaining that it is horrible, but the next time we do it I might use someone else to see if we could get a better job. They were real good, nice professional people.
The time frame to complete the whole job had been miscalculated with twice the time being needed to complete the work, which I think may have contributed to some of the problems I had; however, the issue with my furnace (the first task had nothing whatsoever to do with the miscalculation in time as this was their very first task) .
1. I had questions toward the end in regard to the fact I had to point out one of the last ceiling ducts they were to clean had not cleaned, and was told it was so close to the other one it was not necessary to clean, although I was charged for EACH duct opening they cleaned($29 per opening) ?? I had kept track of their work because I dreaded their entering into that room as that's where I kept my birds and did not want them to be alarmed. They went ahead, removed the grill and cleaned it. After they left, I realized they had not cleaned the kitchen ceiling duct, either (which would have been the very last one to clean) although I was charged for it, as well.
2. Also, the little short string that was slugglishly/weakly moving, and barely whirling around the end of the cable did not seem adequate to agitate/break loose the dirt inside the vents. They apparently didn't think so, either, because after showing me how inadequately it was spinning (his opinion), the man holding the cable used the cable to poke and and jab at the inside of my vents, which fell into the huge open hose the other man was holding up under the vent to catch the dirt. There was a lot of dirt that did get sucked up; however, this house has not had a duct cleaning since it was built in 1963 and any agitation would bring up dirt.
3. After they left as I thought more on this issue, I began to wonder what kind of work had been done in places I could not see. What concerns me that the very first task to be completed was NOT based upon the miscalculated time. The work began in the furnace area which they said they would clean and dragged their machine out into the garage to do so. I asked that the filter be checked in their "cleaning" as there were filters right beside the furnace for replacement. The lead man volunteered after they left the garage that the filter was "clean" and did not need to be changed.
Three weeks later I had another company come in to inspect the ducts in the attic to assure that they were still intact and to inspect the furnace to see if it had been cleaned as dust was still being deposited inside my house. It had not.
Not only was there a layer of dust on the outside of the furnace on top of it and along the sides(obviously not vacuumed even on the outside), there was a thick layer dirt inside the workings of the furnace, and cobwebs inside/outside as well. The inside was especially dirty with a layer of dirt on everything, including the inner workings inside of the furnace which was visable when the door was removed. Obviously the door had not been removed. The question arises: What did they "clean"? And, the filter was obviously dirty and needed to be replaced. I don't know what they did to "clean" the furnace,as it had obviously not been cleaned at all. As I'm sitting here writing this review, I can hear the men cleaning the furnace through my duct system. I never heard this while the BM team was here.
4. The two wall-to-wall carpets were cleaned adequately. One was very dirty and although not visable until dry, there were clean swipes right beside dirty places in the carpet. I would expect that to happen with anyone doing this shampooing on this carpet.

UPDATE: Now that the room in which the "swipes" were visable has gotten dirtier, I can see that the "black spot" that I pointed out to them and was told "It's because the dirt is ground into the pad".........it's not that at all. The dirt has collected where the shampoo was not adequately removed, and it's obvious that the "black spot" had been missed in the shampoo removal (and most likely the dirt). In fact, there is just one swipe in that area .....to the right of the major soiled area that needed cleaning (under the desk( and one of the main reasons that I wanted a commercial cleaning job). This is really sad to be told such untruths so solemnly, which most likely the guy believed. But, just going over it the dark spot one more time would have helped a lot instead of telling me the story about "dirt ground into the pad."
