"German and his crew did a fantastic job on my kitchen cabinets. Extra care was taken to make sure the painting was done professionally. I couldnt be more happy with the results. If you are looking for a professional painting company that goes the extra mile I highly recommend German and his crew."

"Daniel came to our rescue. I need this work to end and the dust gone. He came to see the mess we were in and said he would fit us in the the weekend if we didn't mind. No way did we mind! He did an excellent job and kept me informed of what he was doing. I totally trusted his professionalism. I wasn't the easiest to work with because I needed several walls sanded smooth so that I could stencil latter. He did an excellent job. My husband also was very impressed with his work. Daniel takes great pride in his work and makes sure that his workers do a good job as well. We were very happy with the job he did for us. We will recommend him to others."

"Without question, the best contractor/handyman I have ever done business with. From our first interaction, he was nothing but courteous and professional. We've now hired him twice. Both times he was punctual and reliable. His work is outstanding from start to finish. His prices are more than fair. I feel bad that I've never taken the time to write a review on Angie's List in the past, because I'm generally quite happy with the people I've hired. But my experience with Rocky was SO positive that I felt compelled to write about it. Thanks, Rocky!

"David Tolliver did an excellent job on both the projects he was hired for. After being stung by a previous contrator, I was very critical about anyone else working on my home. David came in and eased my fears by the great job he did. He was professional, personable, and very good at what he does. I would quickly use him for any other projects I need and recommend him to my friends. Great job David!!!"

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

Installation typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the wall’s size and site conditions.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.

Spring and fall are the best seasons to apply wallpaper because excessively hot or cold temperatures can cause issues with the paste used to attach the paper to the wall. A professional wallpaper hanger can help you decide if your home is too hot, cold, humid, or dry for the wallpaper to stick properly.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.
