We also had him remove a wallpaper border in the kitchen, and wallpaper in a decorative inset before painting."

"Excellent job.  They taped everything off, no spills.  They did not do the trim, only walls, and there was no bleedover onto any trim or any of my furniture or fixtures.  They even removed and reinstalled the tv mount so as not to get any paint on it and to ensure the wall was uniformly painted.  They fixed all dings in my wall to perfection, including some pre-existing sheet rock damage.

"Of all the contractors that worked hard to remodel my kitchen, Mr. Jose Lopez of High Quality Sheetrock Repair, was my favorite. After the old counter-top and old back-splash tile was removed, Mr. Lopez removed the damaged drywall and replaced it. He carefully cut around the electrical receptacles and the plumbing supply lines to avoid leaving large gaps. He made sure that the drywall was straight so that the new counter-top will lay flush against the wall. He aligned the seams to provide a smooth surface on which to install the new tile back-splash. When told that the new tile may be glass tile, he returned with paint and painted the new drywall white to ensure consistent coloration of the translucent tile. He charged no extra fees for the painting work. The beautifully laid and finished kitchen counter-top and back-splash tile are a testament to Mr. Lopez's forethought, conscientious attitude and careful attention to detail."

"Let me say that my first contact with Ivan, via a phone call, was a discussion
about what problems I was having, and what he could possibly do to help.
His first comment was that he'd be happy to come look at my bath,
explain what if anything he could do (and recommend where to go if it was
out of his ability)  And this was a free service no matter who I chose.

He nailed my problem.  I had already done a good bit of investigation before
seeking help and in 10 minutes, he showed me what I had missed. 
He and his two-man crew completely rebuilt my shower taking everything
to the bare studs - fixing studs where needed - aligning/rebuilding  the not
properly built doorway - removing and rebuilding defective pan and right down
to the finished product, did it all very professionally, responsibly, and in a
very friendly manner. 

When Ivan and his crew finished the job, we almost felt like
members of the family were moving out.  They completely cleaned up at
the end of each day, before going home, swept, picked everything up, and
put all their tools away.  And before driving off, Ivan would
personally check with one of us to see if everything was to our
satisfaction.

Very impressed with the way they kept us informed,
their work, punctuality,  friendliness, and dedication to doing the job
correctly and to our personal satisfaction.

I gave this company a "C" because I felt that on-site supervision was lacking in overseeing that  the workers follow the scope of work.  







However, I will say that they did a very good paint job.  I specifically said that I DID NOT want the garage door painted, and it was stated on in the estimate.  They put primer on a couple of areas of the garage door before starting to paint, then realized that they shouldn't paint the door.  In my opinion, there was nothing wrong with the garage door.  It had no dings or scratches on it.  But when they put the primer in spots on there, it was too late then, because there was no way to get the primer off.  The door then had to be painted.  The garage door had a color vinyl finish on it where it would never have to be painted, and I specifically chose the house color paint to match the garage door.



 



The cabinets in the laundry room didn't get painted.  I had to point out to them during the walk through at the end of the job, and they quickly went back into the house to paint the cabinets.



 



The windows that I wanted to have the caulk smoothed out and  re-caulked, That definitely wasn't up to my expectations, but the charge to do that was minimal, so rather than ask them to make it right, I will have someone else take care of that for me.



 



There were some rain issues during the week that our house being worked on, and they had to stop the job then come back to finish, which was fine.  I got a call from the site supervisor one morning that they were on their way to my house to finish up the job,  because it was raining in Crosby, where they were supposed to be that day.  Great .... but they never communicated that to the person that wrote the quote to give a status of the job, and I got a call from him that evening about 5PM apologizing for not getting to my house that day to finish.  I told him that I was sorry that no one let him know, but that the job was finished that day.  I think they have an opportunity to improve their internal communication.



 



Mike, the Owner of the company communicates well with customers and seems very professional.  I know that he will be very disappointed to read this review and in getting an overall C.
