"We were at the house with Mark for 4.5 hours during the inspection. In an unusual turn of events, the current home owners were there as well. We felt that he deftly navigated the potentially tricky situation of having buyers and sellers present. We felt that his easy-going personality enabled him to defuse the somewhat nervous and gruff demeanor of the sellers. Mark was an excellent inspector: his keen eye gave a very thorough assessment of the house. Because the process is lengthy (e.g., letting water stand in tubs for 3+ hours), there was ample opportunity for conversation. We enjoyed chatting with him (about houses and other things) and enjoyed his sense of humor. Mark produced a standard inspection report (i.e., based on the standard form) and pictures. As most inspections do, it noted many areas for potential improvement. However, his comments (verbal and written) were useful in negotiation, since it helped us to focus on the important issues. Indeed, those comments, which provided context for his findings, were the most valuable part of his work. For example, instead of simply saying that house did not have arc fault protection, he noted that such an update would be highly unusual for a house of the age of this one, and were it to be installed, would likely be ineffective, given the wiring configuration of houses of this era. Or, he noted a sagging cross beam in the garage that would not likely be a problem in future, but that if we were to repair it, we should do that before replacing the roof. We have since followed up on some comments with specialists (e.g., an electrician), and their comments echoed those of Mark. From our perspective, he has the right experience to know what to look for and whether or not is important. For us, Mark's experience and the quality review were well worth the cost. He does charge more than a budget inspector. We've used those before, and we feel that we did indeed get what we paid for."

He has certificate in masonry repairs and building from Arehn's Masonry School in South Dakota, a certificate for air duct cleaning from Roto Brush located in Dallas and a certificate for plumbing, electrical and air conditioning repairs from Alpha and Omega in San Antonio

"Initial install went well during home construction. Roland was available during the construction phase and helped detect a roofing problem. Since moving in and using the stove, I found issues with ventilation of the stove and smoke in the house. Roland told me my house is air tight and therefore there is insufficient oxygen in the house to sustain a fire in the wood stove. Completely unreasonable explanation for lack of ventilation in a wood burning stove and wanted to argue about it. Diagnosis was over the phone and no offer made to see the problem I am experiencing. Not saying this is his fault but there is definitely something wrong. There may have been some unknown damage done during construction but his response is very unsettling when dealing with the potential fire damage in a home."

"I am not the person to put reviews on Internet, but I felt this time I had to share my opinion with the Public to help them decide for themselves if Accurate Pest Control Company is right for them. I had called Accurate Pest Control for Scorpions, and paid them over $400 to use their chemicals to get rid of the Scorpions. Whatever solutions they used, it did not make the Scorpions go away. I had them in the bathroom, on walls, in my 11 year old room crawling, I was concerned and kept asking them to come out to spray. They have come out 4 times and Scorpions were still in the house. They said "because you live by the forest they keep coming". I understand that, but why do I call you? To get rid of them right? Well it did not work. I asked them for reimbursment, and the Owner said they will not reimburse me, because they "did the job right" was told by Service Manager. I wanted you to make a fair decision and hope that my review will help you make a right choice. Accurate Pest Control was not able to help me."
