"Alex was extremely professional throughout the entire process.  His employee came to the house at the time that was suggested and did an excellent job on refinishing 2 tubs in my home.  I then hired them to refinish my kitchen countertops and they turned out great!  I highly recommend A+Tubs and Tops!

"Went well - everything is looking great as it’s being finished, and Tim brought in another expert for part of the ceiling patch/repair to result in the most professional looking job. Older leak above apparently resulted in some mold growth between top floor and ceiling, so they had to tear it open, test, spray anti-microbial, then patch with drywall, texture, paint. Nice guys, and would recommend."

"I contacted the owner John around March 7, 2013 to see if they could replace my aging vinyl liner.  He called me back about 24 hours later and said they would come out on March 13, 2013.  When they came out he and Zack, his helper, were very friendly and took measurements of the pool and provided me with examples of the vinyl I could choose from.  I selected the one I wanted and paid $1000, half of the cost of the replacement.  Jon stated that he would come back out during the first week of April.  I had not heard from John at the end of the first week of April so I called him and he stated they would be out on April 8.  I drained 75% of the pool for them so it would help with time.  Zack and another co-worker came out and did a good job of installing, except for the fact they did not replace the plastic pieces on the stairs that cover the screws that secure the liner to the stairs, no big deal.  I paid them the rest of the money for their work, $1000.  They completed the work and I filled the pool.  The next day I noticed severe rippling in the liner so they came back out again 2 days later and sucked more water sucked out from behind the liner.  The next day, around April 12th, the liner once again had begun to ripple in the corners and they came out again, no charge and sucked more water out.  Jon told me he would try to come out on April 18th to do a leak test.  Because of the constant changing of the weather he was not able to get back out until May 7th.  Jon came out on the 7th and performed a leak test as the pool is losing a lot of water each day.  Jon found the leak and repaired it.  I would recommend Jon's company anytime.  The leaks in the drain were not a result of the installation of the liner, it was probably that way with the old liner.  They did fantastic work."

"My air conditioner was not working so I contacted my home warranty service and they sent a local company representative to checkout the problem. It was a capacitor - the technician installed the part and it has been working ever since."

"Comment: They helped by replacing my roof as well as installing gutters, fixing broken windows, repairing carpentry, and painting. They also helped me process my insurance claims. They're very knowledgeable; they made sure my insurance company compensated me for all the current Dallas city building codes. Jess is a very good communicator and made sure the crews cleaned up very well."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.
