"Start to finish fantastic. First of all, I had a screened-in patio, not a shed. Estimate was in line with others. Artie was an excellent scheduler, kept me informed. William and his demo group were wonderful. They made little mess, and had the old pergola structure hauled away in no time. The best for last. No matter how long you have to wait - I'm serious here - wait for KASEY WILSON to install your project. He is really amazing. Patient, neat, precise, he will give you as much detail as you can handle if you have questions. Even my neighbors who noticed him coming and going mentioned how tidy he was. He is very thorough and exacting. So impressed with his skills."

"Travis M and Dotson did the installation in my guest bathroom of a new tub, tile and fixtures. They were very professional and friendly. I checked in on them many times and had questions as they worked, which they answered all for me. The bathroom is beautiful. David Lennox, my sales and design rep, was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly through this whole process. He helped ,e design and make smart decisions for both bathrooms I had done, There was a small issue after the job was done and David addressed this quickly. I would also like to recognize Janelle who has been very helpful in addressing and taking care of this for me. Thanks to all and 5 stars to all -Travis M, Dotson, Alonzo, Gabe, Janelle and David!"

"I paid Austin Dustless LLC to prep my concrete slab for a tile install and they did an inferior job--paint, adhesive and thinset were still on the surface. Afterwards, I contacted Trey and he did the job right. I wish that I had contacted him to begin with and I will certainly hire him again when I tile the rest of my house. He's a good, honest and hardworking man."

"I was absolutely pleased with the work done by Joe's crew. Joe came out to look at my issue and was able to tell me what was wrong. The builder for my new home (~3years old) didn't install the shower correctly When they tore down the tile he was right and water came out from behind the tile. Joe and Kiki gave me suggestions on what I could do and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They did an excellent job and I was very pleased. They were friendly and nice. I liked the fact that they even seal the grout as part of the install. When I moved into my newly built home I had to seal the tile myself. It was nice that Joe has his own crew and doesn't contract out to someone else. He is very hands on and shows up at the work site to ensure that you as a customer are satisfied with what's being done and don't have any questions or concerns about the work. He also makes sure his crew has what they need to complete the work properly and as quickly and efficiently as possible. I was also pleased that they sealed off some areas to avoid dust from spreading to other rooms. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and hire him for any future projects."

"Scott solved a tough problem for us, enlarging the cooktop opening in a Corian countertop. It was exacting work, and he did a terrific job making it just the right size for the new cooktop, moving the downdraf just far enough to make everything work. In addition, he was flexible in adjusting his schedule to our needs. All around - perfect match to our needs!"

"Allan and his team did a wonderful job. They were punctual, professional and clean with the workmanship. The cabinets that were installed are beautiful and we couldn't be more pleased with everything. From the very beginning, we were impressed with Allan and how he priced out everything for us giving us options on the countertop and the sink/faucet for the bar. The process did take some time but was worth the wait. John and Jessie were quiet and efficient with the work that was done. When there was a hiccup with the countertop install, Allan made sure the vendor came back and cleaned up. He was the only contractor who paid attention to the type of wood we wanted in the cabinets which was impressive. When we had last minute changes like an outlet at the end of the bar, they were able to incorporate that into the plan. If we have future needs, we would always hire Allan."

"We had Bordeaux Luxury Homes do a complete home remodel for us, inside and out. The results were outstanding. Our kitchen is the envy of many. The replaced the stone fireplace with a single piece of quartz that goes from floor to ceiling and installed a stainless steel mantel. It is beautiful. Installed pot lights in the kitchen, dining room, living room and bathrooms and now light is everywhere. The crown molding, with all the twists and turns, is impeccable. I could go on and on, and I believe you get the idea that these folks are true artists of home remodeling."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

On average, tiling a bathroom involves about 12 hours of labor, usually spread over two to three days to accommodate prep work and curing times. A professional tiler can often complete the installation in 6 to 8 hours, whereas a DIYer might take 10 to 16 hours. The total project time is influenced by factors like the bathroom layout, tile type, and necessary prep work, such as removing old tile. The process includes specific timelines for different areas; for example, tiling a floor takes about six hours, while a shower area can take six to ten hours. It is essential to allow for adequate curing time—typically 24 hours each—for the mortar, grout, and caulk, which is why the project extends over several days.

No, you don’t technically need a cement backer board for a wall tiling project, but not using it risks disastrous moisture damage. Cement is naturally water-resistant, whereas drywall soaks it in, which can lead to warping or mold growth. Always use a backer board treated with a waterproof membrane for bathrooms and other chronically damp areas to ensure complete tile shower waterproofing.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

There are a few different tools you can use to score tiles. Manual tile cutters or tile scribes work well for scoring in straight lines. Tile nippers are one of the best options for scoring because they can make small and irregular cuts that larger tools may not be able to handle.
