Larry (i think was his name) came out and did an excellent job. he replaced my pump, sucked all of the nasty sludget from my tanks and got everything working in about 3 hours. He was very professional and did an execellent job. He was even nice nought to answer my questions and nto be bothered that I kept asking them. I will be moving my service contract to Joey Ridgle when it comes due and will be using them for all septic needs. If you need septic service. you wont go wrong with this company. They provided 4 different options when they submitted the estimate which I appreciated because I knew what the options would cost up front. Brian Butcher (who is a 3rd generation partner) came to the site ahead of time, thoroughly explained everything, and obtained the permits. The drilling date was scheduled and 2 weeks before they were due to start he called and had a cancelation and moved the drill date up which was great for us. They arrived as promised and began promptly setting up and drilling. They drill deeper than most of the other well companies to ensure better quality water. Brian himself oversaw the entire job and explained things as they spent 2 days drilling and setting pipe. After purging the line completely they built a concrete pad and set the compression tank. Before leaving they completely cleaned the site up and took every bit of trash they had made. Other than a compression tank sitting there you would have never known they had been there. They followed up by mailing me the manuals and paperwork for all of the components of our new system. From the people on the phone to all of the guys who worked on our well everyone was polite and friendly. When we bought the house we wanted a hot tub. Since we wanted the hot tub and pool to match we decided to hire the same company. When I called the lady on the phone right off the bat told me that they charge more than most companies and in order to avoid waisting anyones time gave me a rough estimate to see if I still would like to meet with them. I agreed. Kevin Van Kirk, the son of the owner came for the initial meeting. Very nice guy, first impressions were very professional and guarantees us that he would take care of everything. After drawing and some changes made my us on the scope of the work (i.e. I was doing to have Van kirk extend our patin, since they were so expensive we decided not to use them for the patio portion). Any way, Kevin told us that we needed a super duper gas heater to "fire up the spa in 30 minutes". His words verbatim. We have a electric heater in place that does a great job waring up our pool. It does take turing the electric heater on the night before in order to warm up our pool but works great. We agreed. He told us he had a gas guy and he introduced us to him. Permits were pulled for everything job completed. The job was very slow, lack of support from Van Kirk, after we did all the modifications and gave Kevin the go ahead that was beginning of December. My spa was completed at the last week of May. Not a great experience working with the company at all. Any way, we had a gas leak, I told the Vank Kirk employees several times, they told me it was normal the strong odor of gas. Until one night I got home and we had no hot water in the house (my water heater runs from gas), and no cooking gas. My tank was filled less than a month prior to this day. I got the gas contractor here, called Kevin, called the gas company. It was dark and no one turn on the gas heater to check for leaks. I ask Kevin to send someone from his company while the gas guy was here and the gas company was here. He told me it was unnecessary. The very next day when I had the gas company installed a second gas tank, exclusively for the spa. We had been living in the house for 2 years never ran out of gas. So when the gas company was here and it was daytime, a gas leak was detected on the connection of the gas heater. A Van Kirk supervisor was here and was notified by my gas company of the leak. We contacted Van Kirk and his answer was "not our fault, call the gas guy." The gas guy they brought into my house. Remember I mentioned my pool was built by Van Kirk, shortly after 2 years that the pool was built the LED pool light burned. I told Kevin, the say he would have change for us at cost, no charge for labor since they were working in my house. 2 months later still the pool light burnt. I call Van Kirk about the light. The girl on the phone was very abrupt and told me that Van Kirk absolutely does not warranty any pool lights due to Florida's frequent power outages. So I ask her to have replaced. She told me she would order the light and call me to schedule an appointment and to collect payment for the light. 4 weeks later nothing. So i call my pool company to replace the light. He did. We paid $980. for the light. A month later a representative of Jandy, the manufacturer of the light, showed up to replace the light for us under the manufacturer warranty of 3 years. Van Kirk had activated the warranty but was going to charge me for the light even though Jandy was not going to charge them a thing. We contacted the company about all of our issues and Kevin, the owners sons response was "I disagree." So be aware everyone. They are better companies than that. Good luck! Everyone back East thought we were crazy to start such a hige project from 1500 miles away. Mr. Bass sent us updates through e-mails and photos every step of the way. We and quot;tried him outand quot; on some smaller projects necessary to start the new construction to check his reliability-the fencing, well, septic and site plan efforts went well and on time. We then gave him a draft of what we were looking for in a house and he made some constructive suggestions and together modified our original draft. We had no experience with new construction so we were taking a leap of faith but very happy with our results. It was nice dealing with a contractor that returned calls and addressed the homeowners concerns during the process. I can share some photos but was not clear how to insert them in this format.

FAQs for septic tank service projects in Bullard, TX
The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.
Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.
A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.
Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
