does, or I guess, did, since they have now disappeared. What I can tell you is that they took 95% of the money to build us a pool/spa and outdoor kitchen and then abandoned the job. Richard Garza and Travis Pinkerton, THE NAMED OWNERS OF THE COMPANY, started the job on 8/17/13 and the contract specified a 2 month build, so end date of 10/17/13. They came out on 8/17 and did the excavation and got their first payment. Days later, we had the gunite shell. They got their second payment. Both of these jobs used subcontractors. As soon as they were finished, that is when the problem started. Very similar to Lori's account, Richard Garza and Travis Pinkerton made multiple and increasingly bizarre excuses for why work wasn't being done. When they finally did bring the tile, they didn't have the tile we ordered, it was a different and cheaper tile. They said they could send it back and order the new stuff, but it would delay a few weeks. My wife and I decided we could live with what they brought. We gave them half of the 3rd draw. Then they delivered the rock for the coping. It was all supposed to be one type of Lueder stone, but they brought a mix of stones that are different colors. No attempt was made to rectify that before they started setting it. At one point, they sent out a father and son team to work on the coping. The father did all the work. The son smelled of pot and spent the whole day asleep on our back porch. After they were finished for the day, my wife was pulling in the driveway to find them washing their car in our driveway, using our water hose. From October 3rd to November 14th, they had one worker on site for parts of 3 days total. That time was spent setting the concrete blocks for the grotto feature. October 17th came and went. And despite promises from both Richard and Travis that the project would be finished, it was not. We followed the contract and had our lawyer send them a notice of default. This was met with additional promises that they intended on finishing the job and that the concrete for the deck would be poured very soon and that once that happened, we were looking at 2 weeks before they would be complete. November 14th, they poured the concrete for our deck. We never saw them again. Richard, when making arrangements to have the concrete deck poured, promised to deliver all the equipment that weekend. We never saw it, even though he made other promises that it would be delivered. Then he got indignant with me when I called him out for lying. But that is what we got from Travis and Richard. Nothing but lies and excuses. Travis even tried to talk me into signing some sort of an agreement that I wouldn't leave a negative review on their company because of the strong impact that Lori's review had on their customers. I told him that he needed to send the document to my lawyer, which he never did and that if he finished the job by 11/17 ( a month after the contract specified) that I would sign it if they didn't use me as a reference. We sent another notice of intent to terminate shortly after Thanksgiving when it had been more than 2 weeks since anyone had been there again. Richard gave more and more excuses and more promises. Ultimately, I had to call from phone numbers that they didn't have in their phones to even get them to talk to me, or they would just send me to voice mail. Texts went unanswered. Emails went unanswered. Requests for a meeting went ignored. Actually, the one meeting that Richard agreed to, he canceled on and wasn't even man enough to reschedule. He canceled right before the meeting by text and wouldn't take my call when I called him to discuss. One of the workers came by and said he hadn't been paid and threatened to put a lien on my house. Travis admitted to me that this guy wouldn't do anything like that because he was an illegal alien (put that in writing to me). They had their lawyer (who later ceased representing them) send a letter saying they paid him in cash and they took on the liability. So, ultimately, we fired them and filed for arbitration, as per the contract. They did not participate at all in the arbitration process. Theirlisted address was an abandoned building. Richards only other address was a UPS Store box number. That is the address listed on this site, a now defunct PO box. Their website is now gone. We won an arbitration ruling against them for the amount of $36,850, the cost of hiring another company to finish the job, legal fees and arbitration fees. Of course, they won't pay and we'll have to take them to court now. So, if you deal with Richard or Travis, just be aware that they will may steal your money like they stole ours. Travis has even reported me to Yelp for using his real name and tried to get my review there removed. But I put it back up and will keep doing so. Oh yeah, check out Travis' arrest record. Really, before you hire them, spend the time doing A LOT of research or you'll be the victim of theft as we were. It had been pumped several times during those years. Over the last 8 months we have had problems with the system backing up. We had it pumped on 12/31/07, at which time the tank was flooded. Indications were that the drain field was not accepting water. Eventually over the last few weeks, the system started backing up regularly while doing laundry typically, so we started calling companies in for estimates. We were told by numerous companies that the system was shot, and had to be completely replaced, to the tune of $9,000 to $14,000. Recovering from sticker shock, we called All American Septic Solutions and got the owner on the phone. He graciously spent approximately 45 minutes on the phone discussing the condition of our system, what symptoms we were experiencing, and what he thought he and his crew could do for us. This was the only company we spoke to that discussed the possibility of cleaning out the drain system and reconditioning the septic system. They were very up front with us that they would have to open the drain field in several locations to verify that their suspicions were correct - that roots had formed a continuous matting under the drain lines, and that the drain lines had filled with solid deposits due to the matting preventing them from draining properly. They were right on time, very courteous, and worked very efficiently. They were able to excavate and replace the drain line from the tank to the drain field which had been crushed and punctured by rock. They were also able to open the drain field in 4 locations around the drain loop (an area of approx 30' X 40') and confirmed their suspicions. They were then able to use a high pressure water jet line, in conjunction with their pumping truck, to run the entire length of all 4 sides of the drain field removing all solids. They then placed 2 riser clean out traps at 2 opposite ends of the drain field for access to verify water flow rate and for occasional addition of Copper Sulfate to discourage tree roots from matting up around the drain lines. They also placed a riser on our septic tank to remove the need for digging down to the tank for future cleaning. The riser is concreted to the tank, and sits flush with the ground level. We are extremely thrilled with the idea that we could have this system cleaned and reconditioned."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/austin/all-american-wastewater-solutions%2C-llc-reviews-471977.htm"},"position":2}]}

I only wish that when the person who gives the quote that they don’t say something that is not true."

"Elderly Abuse …. Run I woke up to a leak in my front yard as I headed out of town. My wife called Roto Rooter as she left for work to come give us a quote. They said they only needed someone there to greet them when they arrived. So we had my 85 year old, legally blind, suffering from dementia mother, who lives next door, meet them outside so they could begin with their estimate. They never called us for a quote. Instead he replaced one section of pipe (which was only 4 ft. long), and a shut off valve (which he said was broken but was not) and charged a whopping $6,500. He walked next door and demanded payment from my blind mother. NO APPROVAL WAS GIVEN!!!! NO PHONE CALL WAS MADE!!! My mother, who isn’t mentally with us anymore, gave them her credit card and boom…… $6,500. We didn’t get a new water heater or a new sprinkler system. We got one 4 ft. section of pipe for $6,500 and a shiny new on/off valve which was not needed. That guy new what he was doing. He didn’t call us for a reason. He took one look at my blind old mom with dementia and charged whatever he wanted. He left us an arbitrary bill I could hardly read with little to no specifics. I have attached…. When I called the manager he did return half of the amount. It sounded like we were making progress. I still asked for an itemized receipt so I could see how 4 ft. of pipe and a valve would cost $3,250. If I stayed in town this repair would have cost me a total of $75 dollars in materials. He said he would get that itemized receipt and then has ghosted me ever since. I have reached out on numerous occasions. This company did not have permission to do $6,500 or $3,250 worth of work on my property. They were called for an estimate and took advantage of my elderly, blind, dementia plagued mother to run up a huge bill that no one can explain. They demanded that my mother, who isn’t the homeowner, pay $6,500. My wife waited by her phone all day for an estimate that never came. This is morally and ethically appalling at every level. Just for reference, we had our foundation lifted for $9,000 last year. They dug under the house in several areas and lifted it. This guy wanted about the same for replacing a 4 ft. section of pipe. How is this real????"

Excavating questions, answered by experts
No, fire blight does not survive free in the soil but instead is carried through insects, animals, rain, or wind during the spring. Keep in mind that it can also spread on tools, which is why you should always disinfect them in between cuts.
A crawl space can be as little as 42 inches below the grade of your house, but this is not always recommended in flood-prone areas. At a minimum, there must be at least 16 inches of clearance between the ground and the floor joists to access the space in an emergency.
The rules for trenching and excavation include setting up and following safety protocols, learning how to use tools and machines properly, and ensuring there is a safe exit for all workers. Keep heavy equipment and materials away from the edge of the hole or trench. Call the 811 dig line before starting any excavation or trenching project to ensure you don’t hit any electrical or gas lines.
Your contractor should handle dust control during the project. It's best to speak with your contractor beforehand to check if they plan to cover your furniture, protect your vents, or use fans to redirect dust. Eliminating drywall dust is a particularly large challenge during construction, so always take this into account during your planning phase.
Depth is not a qualifying component of evacuation. Any human-made cut, cavity, or depression in the earth’s surface is considered excavation. The hole from excavation can be any size, shape, or depth. Excavation is used to create foundations, reservoirs, drainage ditches, and roads. Long, narrow excavations are called trenches and are often used for underground utilities.
