"Services provided by Gwyndows Window Cleaning was outstanding! Their communication was wonderful and they were on time for our scheduled appointment. When work was complete, their final price was lower than their estimate. I would definitely hire them again for our next window cleaning."

"i have been using A&A twice a year for more than 15 years. i would not have stayed with the company if the service wasn't first-rate. i have a large house with a lot of windows (and screens); A&A leaves them all spotless every time. i like that A&A will come out 40 miles west of austin for my windows. and i like the owner and chief washer joel -- he's works very hard and always has top-notch helpers. plus, he laughs at my jokes."

"I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. The service was unexceptional. He came out and did the work. My wife worked with them and she said they were fine. The work they did was good. I spent about $300 above the Big Deal price."

"Travis and his coworker were very friendly and professional.  We had a few hiccups because they didn't have a tall enough ladder for the install.  They went and rented a taller ladder and continued the install only to find out that the down rod that I had wasn't compatible with the new fan.  So the crew was at my house for most of the morning and wasn't able to complete the job.

I rescheduled for the following week and had the correct down rod on hand and they finished up the work.  The install ended up costing about twice as much as what I was hoping for but I have to take blame for most of that for not having the proper part.

All & all it was a good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to use TD Services again in the future.

"I am the president of an HOA in south Austin with 43 stand alone units in the community. We needed to get our common area fences power washed and re-stained. We received bids from 3 local contractors. CertaPro was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive, but they had the best online reviews so we chose them. They exceeded every one of my expectations. The met with me on site to go over the scope of the project and make sure that they identified exactly what work we needed done. They started the project on the day they said they would start, they communicated with me throughout the days they were working so I was aware of their progress, they finished all of the work ahead of schedule and our final invoice was exactly what they quoted us even though we made a few minor changes during the project. We will have future projects like this when we need to conduct maintenance projects throughout our community and we will only use CertaPro going forward. I can not say enough about how great they were to work with and how they did exactly what they said they would do. 100% satisfied customer here."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.
