"We did go out to this customer's home a week after his initial service call. When he initially scheduled his service call, he informed us that he was tired of the hassle through his home warranty company. It was explained to him that we do not work with home warranty companies, and that we provide an invoice to the customer that they can provide to the home warranty. It would be between the homeowner and the HW company as to if they are reimbursed. The initial issue was with the outside unit, which as he admitted, we fixed. The next week when he called, we did return without charging him another fee even though this issue was with the inside unit, and a different issue completely. We ordered (as expedited freight which we pre-paid without advanced payment from the customer, nor will we be reimbursed for this order) for the part through the vendor. The customer was made aware that the part was backordered, and we would inform him as soon as we received it. On Tuesday, August 16th, when he made his first call to our office, he told the Office Manager she had to call his HW company. It was explained to him that we do not work with or communicate with HW companies. He told her that he knows what our policy is, but she needed to do that. When she was unable to satisfy him, she informed him that she would have the SM call him back, which he did. When he was again informed that we do not work with HW companies the conversation did not go well. The customer then repeatedly called back after he was informed, we would no longer service him. Verbal threats were made to us about getting an attorney involved, and negative reviews being posted everywhere unless we serviced his home. The “credentials” that the customer states he needs (I am assuming is our license number) is on the invoice that was provided to him at the time of service. We did our due diligence in ordering the part. We have no control over part/equipment availability."
