I hired Gutters by Berger in June 2024 to install gutters—it's been a costly mistake. From the start, September 2024, they didn’t work. They came once, claimed repairs were made, but nothing changed. Heavy rains in June/July 2025 proved they were never fixed, causing flooding, erosion, and deck damage. Though I was within the 1-year warranty, they demanded $75 just to inspect. I contacted them in June 2025—not August 2025, as they falsely claimed (Lie #1). I paid July 2, 2024, after voicing concerns, they say a history of not paying. (Lie #2). Gutters draining into the center of my deck isn’t "client error"—it’s poor design (Lie #3). I never removed hardware, why would I remove what I just paid for? (Lie #4). They offered a discount for the hassle, now blame me for it. Their false, defensive response only confirms the lack of professionalism and ethics. I’ve filed BBB complaints. Avoid this company. Their work and accountability are not what they appear to be.

Terrible, first rain storm I noticed water pouring over a long run of gutter off back porch. After weeks of intense heat noticed the bend getting worse. Called and sent photos of the issue and immediately dismissed saying it was damaged by a tree limb, or that I hung something on my gutter! After arguing with GM Dani and customer service, there was no effort to investigate or help repair, even after I offered to purchase the lifetime warranty package. Bottom line, you can find a more reputable company, that treats its customers better , and with a better quality gutter. Stay away!

I had them out nearly 4 weeks ago for a quote. Agreed to have them do it. Quickly I got an email to pay a deposit, which I did. I was told I would be contacted by the scheduling department. I was never contacted. Called 5 times, each time they said they would get back to me. They have NEVER called. Instead, they keep sending me text messages that say they will get to us. NOT 1 call or estimated date for service.

When the work was initially completed, I wasn't thrilled. I figured a high 3 star at best. The gutters were fine but there were noticeable gaps with the guards, the installation was done differently than I expected, and a small part of it wasn't even what I had ordered. I figured it wouldn't get much better, but I wanted to give them a chance. In my view how a company reacts to feedback from their customer is a real statement about how the company operates. They couldn't ask for someone better than Jacob to be their "follow up" guy. He reached out to me after I let billing know I had some concerns. He was polite, listened to all of my concerns, and didn't even give a hint of argument. He asked what my schedule was and set up an appointment to swing by within 48 hrs. He arrived on time, checked out the situation, quickly made the changes to the install that I thought needed to be looked at and was happy to do it. Not once did he try to give me an excuse, nor did he even hint at it being my problem. He did EXACTLY what someone his position is supposed to do to make sure I was a happy customer. ...and today (weeks later) we finally got a good heavy rain that let me really see the final results. It's the first time in years I've been able to go on my back patio during a heavy rain without being ankle deep in water. The gutters and guards worked perfectly. Thanks to Berger Services for showing that customer satisfaction really is the #1 priority.

The employee who came out to make the estimate was prompt, efficient, and gave us a great price for the work needed. We were able to schedule the work in 5 days, and they were prompt, efficient, and cleaned up afterwards! I would hire them again.

Berger Home Services installed gutters back of our house. The estimator Kurt was nice and gave us fare rate. Workday was scheduled and the installers were so nice and explained everything. Gutters professionally installed to our specifications. They continue to perform to our expectation, and they look great! I would use them again and would like to recommend them to my family and friends.

Communication was difficult. Hardly got warning when they were coming by, lucky I was home the majority of time these days so work could get done. Still have left over dirt to be removed but still getting calls to pay them.....

Berger Home Services impressed me. I received four bids and although they were not the lowest prices, they came in immediately with a fair price, no gamesmanship, and presented themselves more professionally than others. Even though all others chose to come back to me with prices lower than them, they didn't provide me their best price upfront. The work was done quickly (regardless of COVID19 restrictions), the craftsmanship and materials excellent. There is a reason the company has been in business for so many years. I would recommend them and would use them again. Note, the work was performed during COVID19 restrictions. During this time, the normal way of doing business and customer interaction was in flux and so this is a consideration in the review. In some cases, the assumption is that this was a relevant factor in terms of communication as it related to the crew that did the work and throughout the project. I also assume a final walk through with me was not done because of existing restrictions, instead of a phone call. Having said that, I am incredibly pleased.

The first estimator did not show up or call. The second went well and we accepted the bid on a Friday but made it made it clear that we did not want to go forward with the work until we met with their referral for the window repair. Nevertheless, the work was completed without our permission the following Tuesday, and we were not told when it was to take place. We paid the bill on Thursday. When it rained the next day (Friday) we could see that the leak was not correctly diagnosed and repaired. Since that time we have had numerous conversations with several different members of the company and been promised that the work would be made right. We eventually got diagnosis and action. Communication within the small company seems to be challenging.

Extremely pleased with service. We have a high pitched roof that makes gutter cleaning a challenge. The got the bulk of the areas during the initial visit. We noticed a few additional spots around high dormers. I asked them to come back and try again to hit those spots. They did! Completedly Happy with their services. Would use them again

they were not able to keep their apt. on the first day, maybe because it was a small job they didn't give it so much priority. so after I had waited all day they call me, at the end of the day, and want to reschedule for the next day. Wouldn't give me an accurate time or range, so I would have had to wait another entire day for them to come. we rescheduled for 2 days later. a day or so after it was done I walked outside and found a strip of edge drip stuff they had left laying on the sidewalk. I cleaned up the rest of their scrap. it's done. it appears to be fixed. I wont really know until it fails again if that happens. next time I would probably give someone else a try.

Very prompt and professional. We had a specific issue with one segment of our gutter overtopping and, rather than recommend a project that would involve additional work and cost, the representative suggested an alternative that did not increase the cost and appears to be working well. From that and the quality of the gutter cleaning, we feel very good about recommending this service.
