"Excellent job done in a timely and cost effective manner. Tech was communicative on day of work and I received a free upgrade to a 1 hp opener when the 3/4 hp opener was out of stock at no extra cost."

"DJ came to give me an estimate on a gate damaged in the recent storm. Instead, he showed me how to repair the damaged gate myself and didn't charge me a thing. I was truly impressed with his honesty. It was clear to me that DJ is interested in helping others and not just in making money. I'll call him for any future fencing needs and recommend him to all my friends!"

"I hired them to build and install a entry gate and patio fence. I hired this company based on a telephone call with the owner Mike. No referral or reviews to fall back on but my gut said he would do what I needed done. What a pleasant surprise. They proved they are a solid veteran owned business. MS Welding were responsive and professional. Quality materials and build. Unlike many contractors I have worked with, Mike communicated with me throughout the process to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. My wife and I are so pleased with the end result. I would not hesitate to hire this company again. I just found out they do painting and concrete also. I have no doubt they do this type of work well."

"All the work done by Jaye Stark and his crews was excellent. In spite of the local heavy rains and flooding in May, he completed the work close to on time. Most important, where the heavy rains resulted in damage to some of the work he performed, Jaye came out quickly to repair the damage. I recommend him to anyone needed masonry work."

"Andy and his son repaired my Liftmaster Automatic Gate after it was damaged by Snowpocolypse 2021. It require them custom engineering a heavy metal bracket to cover and seal the damage created when the armature was torn from the gate body. His creativity gave us a tremendously sturdier gate and contact point which continuous weld on 3 sides. Literally, much better than original preexisting work. They tested and retested until everything was perfect, hand brushed and smoothed all welds, then first galvanized all their work before matching and repainting the repair. It is not visible to anyone not specifically looking for it. Extremely competitive pricing. I highly recommend them."

"The work went well, once it was scheduled they turned up on time and did a good job replacing boards, securing loose parts and fixing a broken gate.
The scheduling was a nightmare. The $217 for Wooden Fence Maintenance Package coupon was purchased on the 6th of June 2014.
Once purchased, I was advised that they would scheduled sometime in July once they had a few more jobs in my area to schedules at the same time.
Eventually, we gave up waiting and started calling repeatedly, and yes it took numerous calls, to schedule.
Finally the work was completed on the 19th Aug 2014.

"The meeting at the house went fine.  Jared seems to be a very knowledgeable, experienced person.  He's very personable and offered up some good suggestions and alternatives for repairing my gate that keeps dragging the ground and the supporting posts that continue to warp more & more.
After talking over options and ideas, we settled on a straight rip & replace of the gate and section of fence.  He said he had several estimates to put together, so it would likely be the following day when he would get one out to me.  That was fine as I wasn't in an immediate rush.  Haven't heard from him in over a month.  I can't complain too much since I haven't given any effort to contact him to follow up.

Gate Repair questions, answered by experts

You don’t need a permit for an automatic gate in most cities because it isn’t a structural change to your home, but you need to check. A pro can help you with this and since we don’t recommend installing an automatic gate yourself, you should already be in contact with one, making this a frictionless question. Outside of permit requirements, you need to consider your homeowners association (HOA), as some are against gated homes.

If you only use your gate as a pedestrian, walking through without a vehicle, you’re fine to stick with a single fence gate. If your fence opening needs to accommodate vehicles of any kind, from cars to trucks to 4-wheelers, then a double fence gate will suit the space much better and give you more freedom.

Automatic gates don’t use too much electricity, and you should see a minimal effect on your utility bill. In fact, certain gate systems are entirely self-sufficient and rely on solar panels attached to or near the gate to power the motor. While a gate is large and there is a powerful motor moving it, it’s not something that sees constant use throughout the day. For most automatic gates, expect to see a utility bill increase of only around $10 per month.

When making this decision, three essential factors come into play. For budget-conscious individuals, swing gates are the more economical choice. Despite the possibility of both gate types having similar dimensions, many types of sliding gates demand a more intricate opening mechanism and additional components, requiring electrical work for motors and signaling remotes, resulting in higher installation costs.

Installing a gate on your property is often a worthwhile investment, despite the initial expense. Gates enhance your home's curb appeal and can increase its property value, making them more attractive to potential homebuyers. They provide significant security benefits by keeping out unwanted guests and increasing privacy for your household. Additionally, a gate can help keep children and pets safely contained in your yard.

For driveway gates, automatic versions are particularly convenient and tend to add more value than manual ones. The choice of gate material also plays a role in both aesthetic appeal and security. Beyond driveways, side gates can improve accessibility to your rear yard, making the outdoor space more usable. Overall, whether for security, safety, or aesthetics, installing a gate is a valuable addition to a property.
